Job Requirement
1. Degree recognized by PEB
2. Must be Qualified Site Supervisor (QSS) and registered as a Resident Engineer (RE) with Building Control Authority (BCA) and Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (“JAC(IES and ACES))”
3. Minimum experience of 5 years local supervision as a resident engineer to supervise the construction of the structural / mechanical and electrical works within the last 10 years:- For Piling/Basement – experience in bored piling, diaphragm wall and deep basement construction including basement steel temp works and ground anchors. For Super structure – experience in RC, pre-cast, pre-stress and structural steel.
4. Experience in earthworks preferred
5. Be conversant in local legislation, regulations and codes
6. Competent in IT- word processing, excel, email, Power point for project progress update and presentation slides, maintaining proper record for claims

Role & Responsibility
1. To take and carry out instruction from and represent the Superintending Officer (S.O.) or the S.O.’s representative on site.
2. To supervise instruction from and represent the S.O. or the SO’s representative on site. However, he shall not issue instruction to the contractors involving cost or time implication to the contracts.
3. To supervise the execution of the works and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, BCA regulations and all other contract documents and site instructions.
4. To carry out site supervision as site supervisor in accordance to Building Regulation (Building Control Act).
5. To keep and maintain the following documents: -
a) A schedule of structural works to be carried out every 3 months.
6. To report to S.O. all matters related to the project, e.g. to check and comment on contractors’ work overall programme/schedules and work progress.
7. To attend TOP/CSC inspections by Registered Inspectors, BCA and all other relevant authorities’ representatives for each respective discipline.
8. To carry out and report assessment on Construction Quality Assessment system (CONQUAS).
9. To assist in enforcing safety requirements.
10. To supervise and guide Resident Technical Officer.
11. To inspect and assist with handing / taking over of completed works.
12. To comply with Authority’s appointed consultants’ Quality Assurance Procedure for construction works.
