This position reports to the Construction Manager / Project Manager

- Plan daily and weekly work for each section and liaise with site foremen, supervisors and workers on the work tasks and construction methods to be used

- Monitor progress of work, quality of workmanship in compliance with site and project requirements and quality records

- Check drawings against transmittal for discrepancies, built-ability information, revisions and coordination issues

- Maintain structural drawings, part prints and shop drawings to ensure they are in order with the register

- Implement project method statements and inspection and test plans

- Monitor site progress, piling progress and initiate setting out verification and update CM and PM on all issues.

- Inspect site progress works to ensure the quality and accuracy of the site works

- Maintain piling records as per inspection and test plan and contract documents

- Check quality and quantity of subcontract works done

Experience / Skill Required

• Minimum 5 years’ of civil engineering experience
• Familiar with design & visualizations software such as AutoCAD / Civil 3D or similar
• Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, contract administration, scheduling, safety regulations would be an added advantage
• Able to work at Pasir Ris East

Quality Inspection:

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles undergoing maintenance and repair in the workshop.

- Examine completed work to ensure it meets BMW's quality standards and specifications.

- Verify that all repairs are performed in accordance with repair orders and guidelines.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a technician or quality control technician in an automotive workshop

- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and repair procedures

2. Check pics (before pics) to confirm condition of bags (highlight any obvious defects or irregularities not in receipt)

4. Check colouring areas has not stained metal hardware. If there is, to clean off
5. Check HP coating - for obvious pressure mark or stains
6. Check cleanliness of bags that are cleaned, esp in hidden areas (e.g. handles, inside or corners of pockets)
7. Check the receipt if have any accessories (e.g. dustbags, tags) and that these are packed together in paper bag back to shop or back to customer home via delivery
8. Check metal hardware is clean/shiny - to do metal polishing (if cotton bud or cloth is still dirty, to do more extensive polishing)
9. Check inside fabric lining is cleaned
10. Check all leather parts are properly cleaned and add leather conditioner or polish if needed
11. Check if long straps/accessories are clipped back on the bag/returned to original position
12. Use paper stuffing to prop up shape of the bag
13. Use Teddy bear scent if bag has still mouldy smell

4. Quality Control: Oversee quality control procedures to maintain high standards of construction and operation.

5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, and technicians. Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/stakeholders and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules. Liaise with the owners and consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.

6. Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot engineering issues, offering effective solutions.

7. Documentation: Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

1. Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is typically required

2. Experience: 10 years of experience as a Engineer or similar job role in the Civil Engineering industry or Mechanical cum steel structural work and piping fabrication work.

3. Technical Skills: Technical expertise and knowledge in mechanical cum steel structural works , Foundation, Civil works. Proficient in Microsoft Project and Good knowledge on method statements, Autocads drawing –piping isometric and etc

4. Communication Skills: Effective communication and teamwork are crucial for collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

5. Project Management: Project management skills are valuable for overseeing engineering projects effectively.

Primary Duties:
