Job Scope: To contribute as part of a process safety team on a proposal / project, in collaboration with different departments and process safety section, to manage Major Accident Hazards (MAHs) and prevent and mitigate Major Accident Events (MAEs) throughout the lifecycle of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Develop / Support the development and review of HSSE Design Philosophy, and other process safety-related philosophies. Provide guidance to the proposal / project for compliance to company standards, client and regulatory requirements of safetyrelated systems.
• Develop / Support the development of scope of work, perform safety consultant technical bid evaluation, participate in workshops, plan, review and deliver safety studies / deliverables. Deliver complete, correct, and on-time safety studies and deliverables to the proposal / project, demonstrating risks are As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
• Organise Bow-Ties workshops, define SCEs, communicate performance standards requirements, review SCE design, manage tracking and review of EPCI assurance tasks, as instructed by the Principal Engineer, to ensure that safety critical elements are designed, procured, constructed, commissioned, and installed in accordance with performance standards for the prevention and mitigation of MAEs.
• Coordinate and manage risk consultant/subcontractor to ensure the risk of the facility is properly assessed in accordance with the scope of work and methodology, in a timely manner and on budget.
• Collect risk assessment input data, review risk assessments, prepare deliverables, review other discipline deliverables, and collaborate with other disciplines and departments, as instructed by the Principal Engineer or assigned engineer. Issue accurate deliverables, minimizing mistakes and maximizing efficiency. Minimise / manage deviations from company standards, client and regulatory requirements of safety-related systems.
• Contribute to the achievement of Project / Engineering Performance Goals defined for the year / project.
• Collaborate with the proposal / project team, consistently check deliverables for compliance, attend / support audits and resolve non-conformities to deliver a regulatory compliant installation. Minimise non-conformities and delays to first oil.
• Communicate professionally with the client, provide responses to client comments, as instructed by the Principal Engineer, such that the client is satisfied that hazards are managed appropriately.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure that changes are managed in accordance with the Management of Change Procedure and their impact on risk are properly evaluated.
• Identify and communicate lessons learnt for improved management of MAHs and project execution.
• Ensure technical competencies are met and guide the development of process safety engineers to improve technical competency and soft skills.
• Comply with Group Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in Process Safety engineering in the oil and gas sector for a bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering, or minimum 6 years of relevant working experience for a master’s degree, or minimum 12 years of relevant working experience for a diploma holder.

This Technical Safety Specialist is reporting directly to the System Assurance Manager.

This Technical Safety Specialist is responsible for the execution of RAMS Engineering activities in accordance with the company’s processes, applicable industry standards and best practices.

You will enjoy having these responsibilities:

• Execution of RAMS Engineering activities in accordance with the company’s processes, applicable industry standards and best practices;

• Ensure RAMS strategies are flowed down throughout the project organisations;

• Perform hazard identification studies, hazard analyses, safety analyses and hazard management;

• Define safety requirements; analyse and evaluate design compliance with safety requirements and safety principles;

• Review safety test strategies, plans, procedures, scenarios and test results;

• Review Installation, Cut-in / Cut-out, T&C, and Deployment method statements;

• Review the adequacy and completeness of safety evidence and produce safety artefacts;

• Ensure effective communication of Safe Operating Requirements (SORs) to Customer;

• Perform RAM analyses and manage RAM demonstration;

• Interface the Customer and other parties for project RAMS coordination;

• Interface the organisation management for RAMS activities internal reporting;

• Maintain KPI on RAMS activities including: Quality, Cost and Deadlines;

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering Fields of Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science & Engineering, or related discipline

• Good knowledge of CENELEC (EN) Railway RAMS Standards

• Good knowledge of railway signalling principles and CBTC system

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in RAMS Engineering on railway safety-related systems including minimum 2 years’ RAMS experience on CBTC system; OR

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Design & Engineering (System, HW and/or SW), Integration, Testing, Verification and/or Validation of CBTC system

Scope of Works:

• Ensure provision of the WSH Act and subsidiary Regulations are complied with.
• Ensure that work is carried out as per the documented work instructions & safe task procedures.
• Apply permit to work system as required by the procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in sales or inside sales position

Responsibilities:

• Provides safety engineering guidance and support to other disciplines, ensuring assurance of technical safety aspects in design.
• Ensures major hazards are identified, adequately assessed, evaluated, and managed in accordance with relevant statutory, client and project specific requirements.
• Identifies safety engineering elements are not fully integrated into the design and propose solutions to rectify the situation.
• Identifies change in regulatory requirements and advise relevant departments of requirements to comply.
• Develop specifications, terms of reference and scopes of work for specific safety engineering studies.
• Gather necessary information and provide inputs to safety studies.
• Develop or supports safety philosophies: Passive Fire Protection, Escape Evacuation and Rescue, ESD,

• Supports the development of ESD and F&G Cause & Effect design.
• Leads hazardous area classification studies, Writes procedures, specifications, and material.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering with relevant experience in Process/Technical Safety
• Engineering degree with a Master's or Diploma in Process Safety and Risk Engineering, and experience in Technical Safety will be strongly considered.
• 3 years of relevant working experience
• Possess positive and willing to learn attitude.
• Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
