Tasks & responsibilities

• Perform access control duties to prevent unauthorised access into premises.
• Conduct security screening and checks on staff and visitors, vehicles, cargoes and classified materials and authorised Info Comm Technology (ICT) devices (e.g. laptops, official storage media) being brought into or out of the premises
• Registration of all visitors to the premises.
• Ensure security of premises, by detecting and preventing break-in, burglary, vandalism or theft, sabotage against the premises including mechanical and electrical installations and fire detection. Report to the security supervisor of sighting or detection in accordance with SOP.
• Operate the security systems and the fire control system on the premises.
• Respond to security and fire safety incidents, and be conversant with the SOPs for handling emergencies and incidents.
• Perform escort duties for staff, visitors and vendors.
• Perform any security-related escort/driving duties where necessary and applicable

Primary Responsibilities:

Provision of Security

• The primary role of a Security Officer is to protect life and property against pandemic crisis, theft, vandalism, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster on assigned shift in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
• Conducting routine patrols with his teams, looking out for suspicious persons, fires, mischiefs or safety hazards.
• Ensure the physical safety of the property by checking that all doors, windows, lights, equipment, locks and emergency equipment are locked to prevent any unlawful entry and responds to any distress calls and alarms.
• Ensure all the fire alarm and security systems, such as main fire alarm/ sub alarm panel, public address system, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and panic alarm, lightings are working properly and reports of any breakdown or defect of the systems to the management.

Writing and Submitting Reports

• Conduct investigations of any incident from reports from subordinates and takes any follow up actions and submission of comprehensive reports to management of any findings.

Maintaining Law and Order

• Conducting an investigation of any suspicious activities that take place within the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

2. Inventory and Warehouse Management:Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and availability of stock.

   Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, production) to align logistics activities with company goals.

   Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
   
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
   Generate regular reports on logistics activities, delivery performance, and inventory status.
   
6. Problem Resolution:Address and resolve logistics issues such as delivery delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.
   Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks in the supply chain.
   

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
  Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, WMS, or TMS).
  Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
  Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
  
• Soft Skills:Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  Effective communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders.
  

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related roles.
• Prior experience in the industry relevant to the company (e.g., Marine, Construction, Oil & Gas) is a plus.
