• Observe and comply with all prevailing and regulations relating to Fire Safety Act.
• Conduct fire safety training for staff.
• Carry out regular building inspection and ensure non-compliance of fire safety are addressed and rectified.
• Ensure building fire evacuation routes are free from obstruction and fire evacuation plans are in place.
• Submit monthly and annual fire safety report.
• Conduct table top exercise regularly, fire drill exercise, fire risk assessment and incident management.
• Ensure staff and contractors comply with the safety regulations.
• Ensure all works carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedures
• Prepare and implement the Emergency Response Plan, Arson Prevention Plan, In-Place Protection Plan in the premises.
• To train, co-ordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies.
• To conduct training to the occupants within the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies.
• To ensure all CERT equipment are put in place and properly maintained.
• To conduct SCDF CERT AUDIT annually.
• To conduct checks with appointed PE and submission of Annual Fire Certificate Renewal.
• To carry out a fire risk assessment of the premises and perform checks to any fire safety related activities or works with implementation of practical mitigation measures and solutions
• To oversee the maintenance of the fire safety & protection systems within the premises.

Requirement

• Diploma in Building or related discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in the relevant trade.
• Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF
• Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure.
• Possess high level of initiative and integrity.
• Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.

Scope of Works:

1. Work closely with teachers to provide support in preparation of lessons;

• Help to replenish ingredients
• Prepare the ingredient for the classes ie cutting of chicken/fish and separate the ingredients into specified portions according to class size,
• Clean teachers’ centre tables,
• Assist students with cookers / ovens / grill / blenders / steamers, mop spills, etc.

2. General cleaning of kitchens including cleaning table tops, sinks, cookers, sweeping and mopping of the floor and emptying dustbins.

3. General maintenance of the cookers, ovens, grills, microwave ovens, small kitchen appliances such as blenders, cake mixers, food processors, electric steamers, etc. and washing machine.

4. Maintain kitchen and food hygiene including proper food handling and storage, clear fridges of unwanted/spoilt foods and sanitise fridge.

5. Maintain kitchen safety (handling electrical appliances and keep sharp objects in safe location)

6. Check all cutleries and kitchen equipment are in place and are accounted for.

7. Ensure that all taps, electric points and gas main are turned off if not in used.

8. Replenish the perishables and dry goods. Check that ingredients have not expired.

9. Organise equipment in kitchens and store room. Neaten up and replace any posters or labels where required

10. Assist teacher in charge with stocktake of assets.

Contract Period:

• From 20 Dec 2024 to 19 Dec 2026.

Deployment:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of half-hour lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Works:

1. Oversee day-to-day running of the school’s science laboratories and facilities
2. Station and move around the Science Lab during Science lab lessons to provide assistance to students.
3. Work closely with respective level subject reps and teachers to ensure that the resources for all hands-on activities are prepared prior to conduct of lessons.
4. Prepare all necessary equipment and materials needed by Science teachers to carry out hands-on activities, experiments and demonstrations. (refer to Science Activity Worksheets provided by respective Science Level reps)
5. Maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, materials and specimens in good working condition
6. Report all faulty machines and equipment immediately
7. Keep a stock book and breakage record and indicate to HOD Science for necessary replacement
8. Prepare an inventory of stocks annually and inform HOD Science to make the necessary purchase.
9. Maintain a usage record
10. Maintain a safe and tidy lab environment
11. Devise alternative hands-on activities in replacement to the ones found in the activity book
12. Provide care to the butterflies in the creature watch area i.e. obtaining fresh cuttings from the garden to feed them and clearing the enclosure of their waste.
13. Provide care to the chicks in the creature watch area
14. Management of the desk copies for Science teachers
15. Prepare the materials requested by teachers to carry out ad-hoc hands-on activities.
16. Provide support to CCAs such as E2K and Green Club
17. Prepare and distribute Teaching & Learning resources e.g. deskcopies etc. to Science teachers at the beginning of the school year and collect the materials from teachers at the end of the year.
18. Safe storage, usage & proper records of chemicals used in the lab.
19. Preferably the lab assistant is certified in First Aid / CPR / AED.

• Mondays to Fridays: 7.45 am to 2.00 pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Works:

1. Manage two laboratories and ensure that the equipment, tools and other materials are adequately stocked and kept in working condition.
2. Carry out termly stock take
3. Liaise with teachers to prepare, set up and clear up the experiments and practical demonstrations
4. Assist in preparing resources for other Science related matters e.g. Science competition and eco-guardian activities
5. Assist in germinating the seeds for the school’s hydroponics system
6. Watering of plants on the racks near the Science laboratory
7. Feeding of fish at the eco-pond and at the greenhouse at level 4
