SCOPE

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for directing and controlling the day-to-day housekeeping operations on the Floors or in the Public Areas in order to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness. He/She will assist with the allocation of task and special assignment to the housekeeping team and will check and inspect guest rooms and the turnover of spaces to ensure guest satisfaction.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

• Allocate and direct the work assignments of supervisory and non-supervisory staff in an efficient manner to ensure that guests and other departments receive prompt and courteous service.

He/she is expected to communicate with his stakeholders as part of his/her role in performing duties. He/She is physically fit, responsive, able to multi-task and capable of interacting with stakeholders.

Role duties:

• Communicate assigned cleaning duties to the cleaning team
• Monitor cleaning operations to ensure quality service delivery
• Assist in coordinating and liaising with clients at project sites
• Ensure teams adhere to safety measures during cleaning operations
• Implement operation plans to improve work processes and service quality • Submit compiled daily cleaning reports to management
• Ensure stocks of cleaning tools and equipment are in order and replenishment orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
• Assist in implementation of maintenance schedule for cleaning devices on a timely basis
• Assist in planning work schedules and deployment of manpower
• Provide appropriate guidance to cleaners
• Facilitate effective work processes
• Provide feedback and recommend process improvements to the cleaning team

Candidate profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cleaning industry
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, their proper storage, and disposal procedures
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for effectively managing a cleaning team
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
