Description

The safety officer for Lian Shing Construction Co. Pte Ltd heads the safety branch in the company. He, together with his team, takes charge of the safety of the company and the safety aspects of all projects handled by the company.

• Company-Level Duties:
  • Safety Management: Plan and execute company-wide safety initiatives, including toolbox briefings, campaigns, and inspections.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with MOM safety regulations and maintain a good safety rating.
  • Facility Safety: Oversee the safety of company facilities, including dormitories and factory yards.
  • Accident and Incident Management: Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response activities, including medical emergencies.
  • Safety Equipment Inspection: Inspect and ensure equipment, PPE and tools used are compliant with safety requirements
• Project/Branch Support:
  • Safety Documentation: Create, amend, and review safety documentation like Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and emergency plans.
  • Safety Consultation: Provide guidance and advice to project engineers on safety matters.
  • Safety Training: Conduct regular safety training for staff, including rescue drills and specific safety topics.
  • Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits on project sites to identify and rectify safety hazards.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients on safety matters, including attending meetings and submitting safety documentation.

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 18:00pm
• Friday: 9:00am to 18:00am

Responsibilities:

• Provide business analysis and process redesign expertise in one or more functional areas (HR, Finance, Transport, Warehouse, Sales etc.) within the enterprise specifically in the analysis and redesign, of SAP and Non-SAP functions and processes.
• Work with business users to identify business requirements and the changes. Assists in the design, coding/configuring and testing of technical solutions of KTC core in-house applications and adheres to coding standards defined by IT.

• Must have at least two full lifecycle SAP R/3 implementation experience (Project preparation till go-live).

• Minimum 2 - 3 years of SAP Implementation experience.

1. Operate 14ft lorry / tipper lorry in various part of Singapore / Construction Sites
2. Ferry workers from to and from work site
3. Transport materials and goods according to the assigned schedule.
4. Collection of goods from supplier or vendor to Company factory or Project Site.
5. Maintain compliance with all transportation laws, safety procedures, and company policies.
6. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure the lorry is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
7. Accurately maintain delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Singapore Class 3/4 driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years of lorry driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Prior experience as a lorry driver, particularly in the transportation or logistics sector, is mandatory.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. To assist the Project Manager in implementing the safety management system to ensure staff and workers work in a safe and healthy environment.
2. To assist the Project Manager in implementing the permit to work system and to stop & report to the project manager any incompatible works relating to the same.
3. To act as the secretary of the Project WSH Committee and chair the meeting such that the company staff and subcontractors are aware of the site activities and the required actions.
4. To assist the Project Manager in complying with the WSH Acts and Regulation.
5. To conduct periodic safety inspection to verify level of safety compliance so that the safety standards are constantly improved.
6. To ensure site compliance with statutory safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations and to report any deviations to the Project Manager for management consideration.
7. To recommend to the Project Manager any necessary corrective measures to be taken on safety non-compliance and deviations in order to enhance the site safety.
8. To update site management on any new or changes to current statutory safety requirements and also take the necessary actions.
