ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of the Business Affairs team based in Singapore, you will be responsible for content analysis, acquisition and development efforts in India. This includes acquiring audio rights via licensing deals from content providers across India including but not limited to English, Hindi and Tamil. You will help define our Indian content strategy.

ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of the Indian book industry and a broad overview about commercially relevant Indian publications; confident and upbeat written and verbal communicator; highly organized and detail oriented; and able to thrive in a high-energy entrepreneurial environment. This is an individual contributor role. Note: the position is based in Singapore.

Key job responsibilities
As the Business Affairs Manager, you will...

• Proactively identify books and authors to meet the interests of our Indian customers
• Initiate negotiations for new deals with content creators, agents, publishers, and business development partners
• Analyze and select book content to be offered to customers by leveraging internal data and monitoring media trends
• Liaise with internal marketing, merchandising, metadata and production teams to ensure success of consumer content offering
• Identify books and authors that meet the interests of customers
• Collaborate with Audible cross-functional teams including Content Operations, Content Creation, Finance, Legal and PR to achieve Audible India business goals
• Travel to India for content provider meetings and industry events

Basic Qualifications

• College degree required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Ability to evaluate content opportunities in both English and Hindi
• Communicates effectively (oral and written) both internally and externally, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas to a diverse group of stakeholders
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Solid organizational and project management skills
• Resourceful self-starter who will find opportunities rather than wait for inbound leads

Preferred Qualifications

• English and Hindi language fluency
• Professional degree (e. g., MBA, JD)
• Proven success in publishing rights acquisition or licensing
• Solid familiarity with Indian literature and culture

Assist to develop merchandise to optimize profitability, develop innovative ideas, plans and assist to maintain statistical and financial reports.

Primary Responsibilities

• To work closely with the Boutique Manager to achieve optimal revenue, set targets, forecast and budgets for Boutique
• To support induction and trains Retail Associates in sales, revenue, technical and product knowledge skills.
• To manage retail floor team in day to day operations for Boutique and ensuring consistent high customer service level and seamless shopping experience for customers.
• To review with Boutique manager allocation and control of Boutique’s expenses.
• To work with Boutique Manager in merchandise development and curating consignment brands
• To maintain and control well balanced stocks levels in the Boutique
• To support Boutique Manager in managing all online queries, orders, deliveries and communications for Boutique especially during peak and festive seasons
• To work with Boutique Manager to empower Boutique’s team with consistent customer service skills, hotel communications and product knowledge via training and daily store briefings
• To work with Boutique Manager to review and analyse ways to move slow moving merchandise and maximise on fast moving, best seller merchandise for both in store and online. To ensure gourmet merchandise with near expiry dates to be cleared and minimise cost for write off

• To work with Boutique Manager to ensure safe working practices are followed and adhered to including emergency procedures
