The Engineering Specialist works with engineering departments to develop, implement, and deploy approved operational processes and best practices consistently throughout the company. This position will assist the I.E. departments in special reengineering or new projects, as necessary. The Engineering Specialist will take a lead role in planning and execution of large project implementations or training initiatives. He/She may also manage other subject matter experts to ensure timelines and project deliverables are met and developing Web Application training material for use by Operation Trainers. This position may also be responsible for coordinating Operation Trainers efforts in field training.

Responsibilities:

• Be the main point of contact for WMS related activities.
• Involve in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Operation on daily operation issues, troubleshooting and prevention.
• Participate in new businesses project implementation.
• Gathers and analyzes data necessary to develop work measurement.
• Maintains data within operating plans to highlight conditions and areas for potential change.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent fields
• Displays understanding of operational barriers and failures, and identifies/improves designs, methods, processes, and flows through collaboration
• Technical minded with ability to resolve issues related to information systems reporting, report generation and storage, customized reports, and data integration, and writes complex queries and creates databases as needed
• Prior Industrial Engineering experience is preferred
• Prior experience using advanced Access and Excel functionalities, (Pivot tables, V-look ups, database creation/maintenance, etc.) is preferred
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, including weekends and travel is preferred/a plus.
• Note: There may be opportunities to convert to permanent based on performance during the contract tenure.

• Supporting project communication systems Installation, Configuration, Integration and Testing at customer site to ensure timely project delivery.
• Working closely with subcontractors to ensure tasks on site are completed on schedule.
• Understanding the system and be able to perform system fault isolation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborating with fellow engineers / engineering team in system setup, system validation and problem resolution.
• Supporting the generation of project documentation

Job Description

• Responsible for sampling and laboratory testing on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and final products for compliance to quality standard.
• Responsible for in-process line check, environmental monitoring and water monitoring programs.
• Support laboratory operations, including sample receipt, sample subdivision and labelling, waste disposal, stability sample packing etc.
• Perform documentation in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements.
• Conduct training to fellow colleagues on simple procedures (E.g. hygiene and safety).
• Practice laboratory good housekeeping and ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed.
• Highlight abnormality during testing and obtain authorization for laboratory investigation from supervisor.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting where required.
• Other responsibilities include laboratory equipment calibration/maintenance, equipment qualification, method development and validation as well as involvement in improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma and above.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience in pharmaceutical/related industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. For senior position, minimum 3 years QC experience in pharmaceutical/related industry is required.
• Experience in laboratory equipment operations such as GC, HPLC, UVS, and FTIR etc. with good troubleshooting knowledge preferred.

Critical Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Participate in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Capital Projects as automation representation for installation and expansion of new SIS Systems. Ensuring compliance to industry standards like IEC61511 and IEC61508
