• Assess and process applications for absolute and collateral assignment, beneficiary nomination and vesting within service, compliance and regulatory standards.
• Handle investigation of complex cases from policyholders and financial representatives on assignments and nomination of beneficiary.
• Work collaboratively with various departments, including Bancassurance, Claims, Legal, Group Risk Management on assignment, beneficiary nominations, FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliant Act) and CRS (Common Reporting Standard) matters. Note that FATCA and CRS forms are part of submission requirements for assignments and trust nominations.
• Provide strong support in handling enquiries from touchpoints, including policyholders and financial representatives on section cases and processes.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and defects.
• Review and provide continuous improvement to the section’s processes.
• Assist to document changes in workflows for the section.
• Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Unit/Section Heads.
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our client is a leading commodity trading firm, and they are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst - contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of counterparties, including customers, suppliers, and financial institutions, through financial statement analysis, credit reports, and market data.
• Develop and maintain credit risk models, risk limits, and procedures to monitor exposure and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support the trading teams by providing credit risk insights and recommendations on transactions, including hedging strategies, collateral requirements, and counterparty risk mitigation.
• Monitor and track ongoing credit exposures across various trading desks and report any material changes to senior management.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the proper documentation of credit agreements, including collateral management and credit limits.
• Assist in the preparation of regular credit risk reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
• Work with the risk management team to assess market volatility and the potential impact on the firm’s credit portfolio.

Requirements:

• Available immediately or on short notice.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (5 -10 years) in credit risk analysis, preferably within the commodity trading, energy, or financial services industries.
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, financial instruments, and derivatives.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk assessment tools, and risk management software.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions based on data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
