LIMD is part of SSG’s Incentives Management and Enforcement Group (RFEG) which contributes to pan-organisational efforts of building an effective, responsive, and inclusive CET eco-system through effective grant management, Skills Development Levy (SDL) Collection, and enforcement against external fraud and abuse.

LIMD drives effective SDL collection and grant management to contribute towards the development of a responsive and high-quality CET ecosystem.

Under the SDL Act, all employers are required to pay a monthly SDL for all their employees rendering services in Singapore. • Data Governance & Protection: With closely with DPO to implement data security controls and ensure compliance with data governance frameworks and PDPA.
• Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Plan and put in place effective BCP plan for operational continuity with key stakeholders. Organise cybersecurity assessments and tabletop exercises to test and refine plans.
• Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP): Plan and put in place disaster recovery strategies and procedures for IT systems and data. Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure recovery objectives are met through regular testing and updates.
• Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring swift resolution of cybersecurity breaches. Establish and maintain post-incident reporting and root cause analysis processes.
• Assist Head of IT in the planning of annual IT budgets and projects planning.

Morgan McKinley is seeking an International Tax Manager who will primarily be responsible for
managing tax planning, compliance and controversy in the Asia Pacific region. This will involve driving tax initiatives and technology, reviewing tax processes, helping with tax audits in the region and supporting the business teams in tax matters.

This is for a 9- month contract role with a leading multinational social media company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate tax compliance activities outsourced to external service providers across the Asia Pacific region. This includes reviewing tax returns, tax forecast calculations, and performing technical analyses to support statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements, including the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation in line with local regulations.
• Provide tax advisory and project management support for ad hoc tax projects, such as tax treaty applications and addressing internal and external tax-related inquiries.
• Assist in managing tax audits within the region.
• Enhance tax processes by integrating advanced technologies and streamlined procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Head of Tax to address tax-related issues faced by business teams.
• Build strong relationships with regional business teams, finance, legal, and policy leaders to facilitate the sharing of tax insights and information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law.
• With 10 to 15 years of relevant APAC tax experience, including tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory, and tax dispute resolution.
• Experience in both commercial roles and exposure to Big 4 accounting firms is preferred.
• Proven expertise in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency in leveraging internal tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, research, and project management skills.
• Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex tax or business information.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including cross-border teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a high-pressure environment.
