About the role:

The Designer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE

requirements. Tasks include:

A - Development Technology know-how and Commercial support

B - Feasibility

C - Bidding phase/Commercial proposal development

▪ Prepare Instrumentation bulk material quantities (BOQs and MTOs) for cost and erection works estimates

▪ Support Discipline Lead to define man hours and cost estimates

D - Project Execution

▪ Review Client technical documentation and requirements

▪ Follow-up subcontracted engineering activities and control subcontracted engineering documents

▪ Apply engineering design basis and guidelines

▪ Prepare the technical documentation for Instrumentation bulk material requisitions and prepare, according to internal

procedures, the technical evaluations

▪ Provide technical support to Project Team

▪ Optimise Instrumentation bulk material design ensuring minimal cost and complexity in compliance with the contractual and

safety requirements

▪ Prepare Instrumentation bulk material technical specifications

▪ Prepare Instrumentation installation drawings

▪ Prepare Instrumentation BOQs and MTOs

▪ Perform Instrumentation 3D modelling design activities and participate to 3D Modelling reviews

E - Construction and start up

▪ Provide technical and engineering support to construction Team

Job Description

• Responsible for sampling and laboratory testing on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and final products for compliance to quality standard.
• Responsible for in-process line check, environmental monitoring and water monitoring programs.
• Support laboratory operations, including sample receipt, sample subdivision and labelling, waste disposal, stability sample packing etc.
• Perform documentation in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements.
• Conduct training to fellow colleagues on simple procedures (E.g. hygiene and safety).
• Practice laboratory good housekeeping and ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed.
• Highlight abnormality during testing and obtain authorization for laboratory investigation from supervisor.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting where required.
• Other responsibilities include laboratory equipment calibration/maintenance, equipment qualification, method development and validation as well as involvement in improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma and above.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience in pharmaceutical/related industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. For senior position, minimum 3 years QC experience in pharmaceutical/related industry is required.
• Experience in laboratory equipment operations such as GC, HPLC, UVS, and FTIR etc. with good troubleshooting knowledge preferred.

Provide technical assistance in their area of expertise.

Offer technical support for project feasibility studies.
C. Bidding Phase/Commercial Proposal Development
- Review technical documents related to tenders.
- Define activity and deliverable lists, and coordinate tasks according to the project schedule.
- Identify and address technical queries, deviations, and alternatives for submission.
- Apply bidding methodologies, design criteria, and guidelines.
- Assist the proposal team with RFQs for commercial purposes.
- Estimate material quantities and weights (MTOs).
- Prepare manhour, item, bulk, and material cost estimates.
- Engage with clients and attend clarification meetings.
D. Project Execution (Job Progress and Completion)
- Achieve assigned goals and meet project quality and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with the Discipline Leader to define activity and deliverable lists, set schedules, and coordinate activities per contractual requirements.
- Develop design specifications for civil works, including concrete works, plant roads, underground networks, and piling.
- Prepare detailed BOQs for civil works and buildings and MTOs for steel structures.
- Create technical documentation for subcontracted engineering activities.
- Design systems for drainage, sewage, plumbing, and building interiors.
-Conduct studies for foundations and concrete structures.
- Perform quality checks on all discipline-related project documents, including vendor submissions.
- Track and report scope changes to the Discipline Leader, updating manhour and cost estimates.
- Provide technical support to procurement, construction, and other project functions.
- Assist the Discipline Leader/TM in interfacing with clients on technical matters.
- Develop technical documentation for civil material requisitions and support procurement with technical evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Discipline Leader on Technical Bid Evaluations.
Review and address Client's technical documentation and requirements.

- Execute assigned engineering activities, including detailed design, verification, and studies.
- Supervise and approve engineering designs and construction drawings for civil items like foundations, structures, and buildings.
- Monitor and report trends in civil quantities compared to bid-phase estimates.
- Design functional layouts, architectural aspects (3D modeling), and interior finishes, including furniture.

E. Construction & Start-Up
Provide field engineering support on-site.
