Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef in overseeing food preparation and kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Minimum technical certificate in Culinary Arts / Pastry / Hospitality / Restaurant Managment / Restaurant Operations.
• Individuals with 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in an institutional catering or multi-outlet setting is preferred.

Our outlet is looking to hire a new Mala Food Cook who will be responsible for preparing awesome dishes for our guests. Duties will include prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, cooking meals, checking ingredients for freshness, and arranging and garnishing the dishes. You will oversee that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.

To be successful in this job, you will need thorough experience with Mala Food preparation. Culinary school education is preferred, and prior experience in a related position is an advantage.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Preparing awesome meals for our customers.
• Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes.

We are looking to hire a hard-working Assistant Mala Food Cook to clean, stock, and maintain the kitchen as well as help with the preparation of meal ingredients. The Assistant Mala Food Cook’s responsibilities include retrieving ingredients from the refrigerator, freezer, and stockroom, measuring ingredients as per the Mala Food Cook's instructions. You should also be able to ensure that all work areas are properly sanitised.

To be successful as an Assistant Mala Food Cook, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures and remove expired or spoiled ingredients from the refrigerator, freezer, and stockroom. Ultimately, an outstanding Assistant Mala Food Cook should be able to follow all food health and safety regulations and display exceptional organisational skills to ensure the timely completion of kitchen duties.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing meal ingredients for the Mala Food Cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients.
• Properly washing and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.
• Packing take-out orders as needed.
• Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans.
• Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required.
• Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.

Experience:
