About the Department Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing. Job Responsibilities You will be an Enterprise Architect for UOB and be involved in activities across different functional domains and technologies. Your responsibility is to enable the purpose of the enterprise-wide architecture function, supported by domain architects who provide domain expertise. Partner with and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in both business and IT to assist in defining and delivering high quality enterprise capable solutions Work closely with stakeholders to develop practical roadmaps to move the enterprise towards the future state vision, while considering business, technical and delivery constraints Analyze stakeholder requirements, current state architecture, and gaps to create a future state architecture vision for one or more parts of the enterprise with a focus on reduced complexity, cost efficiencies, reuse, convergence, reduced risk and/or improved business capabilities Participate in defining and operating the architecture governance process to ensure change initiatives align to the vision and roadmaps Work closely with Domain Architects across key initiatives and projects to apply architecture principles and standards, and develop reference architectures and design patterns Communicate the principles, standards, vision, and roadmaps to stakeholders and proactively address any questions / concerns identified Provide thought leadership on architectural or other topics, develop a forward-looking view of current and emerging technologies and their impact on the Enterprise Architecture Maintain and improve the process and tools to enable Enterprise Architect functions, owns and enhances workflows and processes, and delegates with clear accountabilities across the teams to meet objectives / outcomes Embed Platform Thinking in everything Job Requirements Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent preferred; Formal architecture certification (TOGAF or equivalent) Technically strong in different integration mechanisms with open systems, AS400 and Mainframe Comfortable in working in an environment which is vendor-intensive Ability to communicate complex topics in an understandable way using a level of detail and terms appropriate to the situation Be independent, a quick learner Have good communication skills to work with various seniorities of stakeholders and colleagues. Excellent analytical skills (critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills) A passion for learning and the willingness to solve problems. Strong negotiation skill and results oriented. Good in time management and able to multi-tasking.
