Overview:

The Finance Associateis responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial management and reporting activities of the company, including budget planning, financial analysis, and providing strategic financial advice to support the executive management team in making informed business decisions.

Job Description:

1. Manage full set of accounts for 6-8 entities, including documentation and all related entries, such as posting General Journals and keying in related accounting entries into accounting systems.
2. Ensure the Trial Balance is accurate and that all ledgers (GL, AR, AP, PA, Assets, Inventories, and Liabilities) are regularly reviewed, updated, and reconciled.
3. Prepare and submit monthly management reports, coordinate and prepare financial operating budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports, and MAS regulatory returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
4. Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payment of vendor invoices.
5. Ensure compliance with all tax, licensing, and statutory obligations, including the preparation and filing of quarterly GST returns and other statutory filings such as ACRA and XBRL.

Job Scope:

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the full spectrum of accounts in Singapore, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), ensuring compliance with IFRS. Oversee data transfer from the local ERP accounting system to the corporate reporting system (Cognos).
2. Review financial reports and accounting statements to ensure accuracy and integrity.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial closing processes.
4. Support the preparation and filing of annual financial statements, corporate tax returns, and GST submissions.
5. Assist in the annual budgeting process and oversee the management of fixed assets and inventory.
6. Supervise and ensure adherence to accounting principles, standards, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Provide accounting support for AP, AR, and GL activities for Vietnam and Thailand operations.
8. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Overview:

We are currently seeking a versatile Senior Accountant to join our team, overseeing financial operations for both our family office and game company. As a Senior Accountant at BRK Capital, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as contributing to strategic financial decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

· Perform accounting duties including bookkeeping, compilation and preparation of financial statements and payroll

· Ensure all management reports are submitted in a timely manner within the stipulated delivery deadlines

· Improve and optimize financial workflows, which includes using existing technology tools and applications to increase efficiency and automation

· Drive tax planning, preparation and filing (income tax, GST etc) exercise, including collaboration with tax authorities and tax agents

· Manage all accounting matters of the assigned legal entities within the group to ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, local GAAP, group policies, MAS reporting requirements as well as tax requirements.

· Ensure all requests for payments are properly authorised and supported by relevant documentation and prompt payment made to suppliers.

Requirements:

· Bachelor degree holder with disciplines in banking, business, finance, economics

· Minimum 5 years of accounting or audit experience

· Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, laws, and any other compliance requirements
