3. Craft position papers for decisions at GEC and Board, balancing in depth analysis and clear and simple communications to maximise impact on readers.

4. Support the Agency and Health teams to enhance their content where required.

Support key SBG management activities: Working with the CoS, this will include:

1. Planning and executing major SBG meetings and events;

2. Track major SBG actions and ensure delivery to timelines

The Programme Manager will manage the A*STAR Net Zero Nexus Sandbox, a pivotal initiative focused on driving Singapore's transition to a net-zero future. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Live studio direct News & Current Affairs programmes in both automated and traditional galleries. Content is not limited to broadcast content. May be required to support digital from time to time.
• This position is responsible for the execution of live studio programming using a Vizrt Mosart Automation system. The responsibilities include but are not limited to using studio equipment to build effects and templates for coding and execution of studio shows via Octopus rundowns.
• Co-ordinate the planning and production of News and Current Affairs programmes output to ensure that editorial intentions are met, and highest production standards maintained. The individual will be equipped with the right skills and new/developing tools to deliver high quality production.
• Set the direction and work with studio crew on duties on the requirements to facilitate and execute an error-free studio production.
• Work primarily in the studio but occasionally will be needed in the field for outdoor news broadcast.
• In the fast paced nature of news, the individual is required to provide guidance to the studio and production crew on the last minute changes and issues that may happen on during production.
• Enforce the compliance to the Error Tracking System from both the production and maintenance team.

• Minimum Diploma in relevant discipline
• At least 2 years in production, preferably studio/live production but other production acceptable as well.
• Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and able to react to changes and situations in a calm and collected manner, without supervison.
• Multitasking is required in the role as well as strong people interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in planning, organising and communicating to be able to manage multiple issues that may occur during production as well as the stakeholders from various teams. Required to have an eye for detail and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Experience with studio production with a strong understanding of studio equipment, including switchers and audio board will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in the English language and at least one other language (Chinese Tamil or Malay) would be an added advantage to understand the language of the programmes.
• A good team player and must be willing to work nights, on irregular shift including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

Project Oversight

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of building/critical facilities power management construction projects.
• Manage project planning, cost control, scheduling, and documentation.
• Ensure all projects meet safety compliance, are delivered within budget, and are signed off by clients.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and address project requirements.
• Resolve operational and technical project issues promptly to prevent disruptions.

Resource and Cost Management

• Monitor and improve the operational systems, processes, and infrastructure to ensure smooth functioning and efficiency across all areas of the organization.
• Ensure that building/facilities management operations run efficiently, meeting both the immediate and long-term goals.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organization's business goals.
• Create and execute plans for managing day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, staffing, logistics, and workflow processes, ensuring optimal utilization to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Safety and Compliance

• Maintain a safe and clean worksite environment, complying with ISO and OSHA standards.
• Prioritize workplace safety and cleanliness, handling emergencies and incidents effectively.
• Address operational issues, including facility management problems, supply chain disruptions, or technical challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
• Respond to crises (e.g., system failures, accidents) promptly and develop contingency plans to prevent recurrence.

Operational Excellence

• Develop strategies and metrics to ensure team performance aligns with company standards.
• Manage logistics to ensure accurate delivery and accountability of materials.
• Track project developments through detailed documentation of processes and milestones.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, integrating them into operations.
• Develop and manage operational budgets for multiple projects and departments, ensuring that cost control measures are in place.
• Continuously assess costs, identify potential savings, and maintain financial discipline while meeting the project requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring that employees are motivated, trained, and supported in their roles.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments.
• Regularly report on operational performance to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

• Tertiary Degree in a Construction/Building/Project Management/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering related field with at least 10 years of working experiences in the Construction projects.
• Good knowledge in Electrical (LV & HV) & Mechanical, knowledge in building/ critical facilities Power management, uninterruptible power supplies or standby generators are essential.
• A strong background in electrical equipment & power solutions sales in data centres will be highly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of power protection technologies (e.g., DRUPS, UPS, diesel generators, modular power infrastructure solution).
• Capable of managing & coordinating sub-contractors/ suppliers/ vendors both on & off site to meet project deadlines.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
• Sound knowledge of Project Management procedures.
• Ability to travel across the region (when required).
