• Monitor expenses, manage invoices, and reconcile post-event financials to stay within the allocated budget
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through digital channels, social media, email campaigns, and other media
• Manage on-site event operations, including registration, catering, technical setups, and attendee management
• Coordinate and brief event staff, volunteers, and service providers to ensure smooth execution
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met throughout the planning and execution phases
• Conduct post-event evaluations to assess event success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
• Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems on the spot

Reporting to the Head of Brand, Communications, & Marketing, the Executive/Senior Executive for Communications will develop and implement internal and external corporate communications strategies and plans, aimed at enhancing the image and reputation of the YTL PowerSeraya Group.

Responsibilities

External Communications

1. Develop the communications strategy in alignment with key business priorities

· Handle all media queries (proactive and reactive)

· Develop press releases, FAQs, talking points, and narratives when required

· Develop media briefing documents, media interview facilitation and pre-interview spokesperson briefing when required

· Media engagements with key media (mainstream, local business, energy media)

· Research, identify and pitch for stories/interviews as appropriate

· Daily media monitoring to constantly stay ahead of developing digital media channels in order to mitigate risks or exploit opportunities

· Develop single narrative and ensure messages align

2. Implement and deliver branding/image

· Act as one of the main points of coordination within the Group

· Assist in developing and managing the Group’s initiatives

· Brand profiling and positioning as required

· Brand guardian of the company’s branding and corporate content materials

3. Develop and maintain digital media presence

· LinkedIn account

· Maintain and update website contents

4. Establish presence in the industry by aligning narratives about our business and participate in industry-driven forums, etc.

5. Crisis Communication

· Act as central point of contact with Energy Market Authority’s Communications team

· Oversee crisis communications with key stakeholders, including preparation and drafting of holding statements

1. Drive and align information throughout the organisation

· Sharing and alignment of information about the industry, the business and the Group

2. Boost Engagement and Productivity

· Create conversations - develop Communications Roadmap to address and manage various stages of behavioural shifts in people going through a change process for employee engagement

Job Requirements

· Preferably a Degree with strong passion to work in the communications space

· Minimum 2 years of experience in Corporate Communications or PR agency

· Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills

· Preferably Mandarin proficient, to liaise with Chinese media

· Resourceful, and able to work both independently and in teams

· Strong interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills
