Job Scope

• Assess the creditworthiness of SMEs or Individuals in applying for loans or credit by analysing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
• Evaluate the potential risks associated with extending credit to customers or counterparties, considering factors such as their payment history, financial stability, industry trends, and economic conditions.
• Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective risk management practices across the organization.
• Develop or utilize credit scoring models to quantify credit risk and make informed lending decisions.
• Monitor and manage the organization's credit portfolio, including identifying emerging risks, assessing portfolio performance, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing credit risk management, such as Basel III requirements or local regulatory standards.
• Communicate credit risk assessments and recommendations to senior management, stakeholders, and relevant departments within the organization.
• Make credit decisions, including approving or rejecting credit applications, setting credit limits, and negotiating terms and conditions of credit agreements.

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Business Studies, Finance, Banking, Economics Commerce, or any other relevant education
• 6 - 8 years of relevant working experience in credit risk analysis / underwriting

Your new role

As part of the Credit Risk team, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing credit limit applications, performing customer due diligence checks, and assessing portfolios to aid in management decision-making. You will monitor customer portfolio risk levels, enforce margin call policies, and identify key risks that could impact the Group. Additionally, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders on debt recovery matters, maintain and update operational manuals, and prepare periodic reports for regulators and management. What you need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• At least 2 or more years of working experience in the securities industry with exposure to Options and Futures
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting teams in Asia

· Oversee the preparation of all financial reports

· Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets

Requirements:

· Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting, finance and treasury experience in a key leadership role within technology, fintech or financial institutions space

· Proven regional accounting and controlling exposures

· Sound knowledge of financial, regulatory and compliance requirements.

· Hands‐on and able to work within tight timelines, handle a broad portfolio, set up finance functions and implement process improvements

· Strong business acumen, strategic, fast‐paced, assertive and driven

Responsibilities

• Organise and conduct regular credit and accounts receivable review meetings with business units and sales departments to resolve delinquent accounts.
• Follow up and communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments.
• Review and process new customer account applications.
• Maintain and update customer account details and credit limits in SAP.
• Monitor daily sales transactions for credit holds in SAP and communicate with the sales department to address overdue issues.
• Disseminate invoices, statements of accounts, reminder, and confirmation letters.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and confirmations.
• Prepare regular collections and accounts receivable status reports for management.
• Liaise with insurers to apply for trade credit insurance for customer accounts with credit terms.
• Liaise with banks regarding bank guarantees, including letters of credit.
• Verify supporting documents to carry out billings to customers.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Proficiency in SAP software is an advantage
• Good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail
• Good team player with the ability to work independently
