Job Description: Credit Analyst
Our client is a well-established Venture Capital Investment firm with a solid track record of investing in promising high growth technology firms across Asia Pacific. Headquartered in Singapore with team presence across other APAC cities, they have recently expanded their investment strategy by successfully raising a Private Credit fund.
As part of this exciting development, they are now looking for a bright and motivated Credit Analyst to join the team in their Singapore office. Under the supervision of senior members of the team, the Credit Analyst will assist in the monitoring of the credit portfolio under the guidance of senior members of the credit team and support loan growth and risk management.
Responsibilities
1) Monitor and analyse an assigned portfolio of borrowers
- Obtain business, financial and ESG updates from borrowers
- Track, compare and analyse actual versus projected and actual versus sensitised business performance
- Oversee and evaluate loan-covenant compliance as well as prepare action plans to address non-compliance and work-out situations
- Assess and monitor compliance with ESG goals and initiatives
2) Assist in the preparation of portfolio management reports and presentations and participate in and contribute to regular review meetings
3) Work alongside senior members of the credit team in writing credit memos and due diligence approval packages for new loans and modifications
4) Draft credit committee minutes and credit recommendation requests
5) Aid in the preparation of loan documentation
6) Facilitate deal closing and loan disbursement and assure credit files comply with internal and external regulatory policies and procedures
7) Study industry sectors and assist in devising investment strategies for the same
Qualifications & Requirements:
1) Undergraduate degree with 2+ years of experience and a demonstrated interest in finance and technology.
2) Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
3) A self-starter who is able to think laterally.
4) Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills as well as a keen eye for detail.
5) Comfortable with financial statements and financial analysis.
