Job Description:

You will play a key role in promoting the growth and learning of infants and toddlers by providing engaging and enriching experiences. You will form a unique connection with these young children as you collaborate with their families and observe their progress. Your main job responsibility is to develop and plan early childhood programmes for the children in the centre:

Maintain record keeping for centre's operation purpose - audit, licensing, tracking, monitoring. Active participation and sharing of ideas, suggestions, learning, concerns and challenges during meetings.

Provide coverage duties for staff on leave and other adhoc duties. Plan and carry out events, excursions, workshops, collaborations with community etc.

Job Requirements:

Must have attained Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development (CIT) / Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) / Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY). Registered with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). Have a valid certificate in first aid recognised by ECDA. Preferably have infant care experience in a pre-school setting. Demonstrate good communication skills. Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices possess classroom management skills and able to handle children's temperaments. Main Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver lessons

- Coach, supervise and ensure completion of daily school homework

- Conduct practices and tests for spelling (English and Mother tongue)

- Ensure safe and timely transfer of students from school to student centre, including pick-ups from nearby schools

- Monitor and track the progress of students

- Engage and provide regular update to parents and/or guardians on students’ progress and behaviour

- Mark students’ work

- Perform administrative duties and ensure upkeep of centre premises

- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Centre Head

Requirements

- Diploma / WSQ Student-Care Certified

- Familiar with MOE syllabus or have prior working experience as a tutor/teacher

- Able to communicate effectively in English and one other mother tongue language

- Able to coach primary school level academic subjects

- Passionate and enjoy working with young children

- Outgoing personality and pleasant disposition

- Possess excellent work ethics and integrity

Working Hours - Monday to Friday (12noon to 6pm) when teachers are away

• Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm
• Basic Salary: $2500 - $2700

• Diploma Holder / Degree Holder / A-level Holder in a relevant field
• At least 1 year of experience teaching as Student Care Teacher

Responsibilities

• Able to teach upper primary English Language, Maths and Science.
• Look after a class of more than 20 students, P3 to P6.
• Plan and execute weekly and holiday activities.
• Able to handle and communicate effectively with parents.
• Good classroom management.
