The Chapter Manager will have a unique opportunity to work closely with industry-led C-suite leadership team known as Chapter Executive Committees (Excos) to engage and create value for the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

1) Chapter Exco Management

• Facilitate regular meetings to plan, consult and drive execution of chapter management plans;
• Work closely with Exco members to source for the resources required to ensure successful execution of projects and activities;
• Coordinate communications between Exco members and SGTech Council leadership to ensure alignment to organisation goals;
• Provide secretariat support for pre-meeting, in-meeting and post meeting;
• Assist Chapter Chairs in identifying diverse and capable industry leaders to participate as Exco members;
• Track and manage objectives and key results of the chapter.

Advocacy: Serve as the voice of members to policymakers and regulators

• Acquire domain knowledge to adequately to engage Exco, members and stakeholders;
• Consult members regularly to understand their business challenges;
• Facilitate constructive dialogue opportunities with key government agencies;
• Consolidate and represent industry feedback through appropriate channels, e.g. Budget recommendations.

Advisory: Help members navigate government structures, programmes and policies

• Build a strong understanding of the public and private sector landscape specific to your chapters domain;
• Build a strong understanding of the grants and programmes managed by SGTech.

Business Opportunities: Drive local and global business matching opportunities for members

• Coordinate business matching events in partnership with SGTech’s Digital Transformation and Internationalisation programmes;
• Manage partnership with tech user businesses communities. Take ownership in developing relationships and collaborations with other trade associations and equivalent partners.

Business Capabilities: Build members’ business capabilities in Talent, Sustainability, Digital Transformation and Trust.

• Champion initiatives that support members’ business needs in the areas of Sustainability, Digital Transformation, Digital Trust, Internationalisation and Talent Development;
• Work with SGTech’s Strategic Programmes team to customise and design new programmes and products to benefit the member community.

Collaboration and Connections: Bridge B2B connections and partnership opportunities for the community.

• Facilitate programmes and activities that provide a platform for members to interact, e.g., networking events, business matching, workshops and seminars;
• Actively engage the community to develop a strong understanding of the membership base, contributing to the higher success in chapter member retention at renewal.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of working experience preferred. A track record of working with business communities and senior management stakeholders will be an advantage;
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence in engaging senior management and partners at all levels;
• Strong communication skills, including presentation, storytelling, negotiation, and persuasion;
• Demonstrated track record of meticulous project management;
• Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness in finding effective solutions;
• Self-driven and pro-active with a passion for personal growth and professional development, especially in the technology space;

CRITICAL WORK FUNCTIONS & KEY TASKS

1.Order Fulfilment Management

• Ensure timely Order Fulfilment to ensure customers’ satisfaction and to meet OTIF.

2. Logistics & Warehouse Management

• Ensure the development and execution of efficient logistics, transportation and warehouse services.
• Monitor service providers in adherence of service level, frequency, customer satisfaction and compliance.
• Formulate and keep track of optimising the logistics cost, space utilisation and safe handling of products and delivery. Ensure organization’s operations meet SS620 / GDPMDS standards and requirements

3. Inventory Management

• Achieve high and consistent inventory accuracy
• Achieve optimal level of inventory holding – ageing inventory, missing and expiring

4. People Management & Development

• Promote and support progressive people management frameworks and policies to better attract, retain and develop talent
• Lead performance management and learning & development, adopting and leveraging on Skills Frameworks and other relevant frameworks.
• Recruit, orientate, lead and guide the team, ensuring that the day-to-day duties are carried out according to standards and requirements.
• Engage, mentor and motivate team members to excel and grow them personally and professionally.
• Manage staff issues and appraise their performance

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Excellent leadership skills including leading projects with broad scope, cross functional nature, and an impact within and outside own department.
2. Facilitate in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business and supply chain, Operation and execution to support strategies including total delivered cost, profitability, inventory turns, service levels, technology adaptation.
3. Excellent communication skills (with staff, peers, and Upper management) and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Organisation and Suppliers to influence decision making.
4. Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
5. Drives changes, challenges status quo and makes recommendations for improvements to products and processes.
6. Demonstrate team leadership with proven track record in developing and sustaining relationships that contribute to the success of the organization. Guide team to be effective and efficient in execution.
7. BS/Diploma in Business/Supply Chain related field with minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply chain/operations management field required.
