Responsibilities

Sales and Trial Order entry

• Receive customer purchase orders via email or EDI
• Sales order entry
• Liaison with customers and sales team on stock availability and ship-dates

• Perform end-of-day checks and follow up to ensure that all orders and transactions are in the correct status by the end of each working day
• Review and verify import tax and duties invoices from local customs broker

Returns and credit handling

• Process warranty claims received from partners and global support team according to policy

Logistics

• Liaise with the overseas warehouse partners on order handling and exceptions
• Liaise with local Japan and overseas freight forwarders on deliveries and returns, including cross border shipments, per incoterm

Requirements

• Business level Japanese proficiency (mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant customer service experience
• Good working knowledge of inventory availability, out of stock situations and backorder management
• Working knowledge of incoterms and export shipping documentation
• Experience working with external freight forwarders and overseas customs brokers
• In-depth knowledge of commercial tools, such as ERP systems and OTC processes
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Proficient in Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Good working knowledge of SOX compliance and procedures
