This position is to manage and update customer pertaining to Air Import Shipments activities

Job Description:

• To monitor closely assigned customers’ inbound shipments

• Work closely with respective overseas offices to monitor its uplift at point of export till its arrival

• Update customers promptly of delivery date and if any irregularity to inform them

• Maintain close communication with overseas offices, internal customers, authorized contractors and ground handling agents to track closely its arrival and customs clearance

• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by his/her immediate superior and/or manager

Objectives of the position:

This role is for the Customer Quality Support for Company’s product distribution where Customer’s feedback & Product Quality requirements / issues are handled. The person will be responsible to handle Customers requirements such as complaints, test data & other technical information as requested. Customer complaints handling will also include the necessary communication with all the stake holders (Customer, Supplier, CS, PP, SVM, LOG). Knowledge in cable testing and specification requirements will be required to understand Customer complaints (technical & logistics).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Customer complaint processes such as acknowledgement of the complaint, updating into SAP, keeping track of the complaint, closure of the complaint & summarizing for monthly reporting. Proper handling of customers’ needs by providing accurate and timely information on enquiries related to cable standards, test reports and handling of customer complaints.

2. Track supplier quality by means of in-coming inspection when required or arise from Customer complaints. Update results in SAP system and release inspected lots according to the usage decision defined. To generate supplier CAR and track for corrective action by liaising with the supplier.

3. Familiar with and comply to international cable testing standards and procedures. Contribute to achieving company & department KPIs through due diligence, duty of care & personal accountability for Quality assurance in all tasks.

4. Liaising with relevant departments to effectively close the Customer complaints

5. Maintain records in SAP

6. Operate Laboratory test equipment when required

7. Assist Customer’s Technical enquiries e.g Product Test Report, RoHS, REACH, CE

8. Supplier claim processes and 8D report.

9. Prepare and issue Customer Test Certificates & COC

10. Assist in other day to day activities related to QA department as assigned by Superior.

Skills & Qualification:

▪ Min. Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical) or equivalent

▪ Min. 2 years’ experience in electrical / electronic product testing and qualification. Training will be provided.

▪ Knowledge in ISO 9001 : 2015 QMS standard.

▪ Must be able to operate lab equipment (calliper, visual scope, resistance checker, High voltage tester).

▪ Prior experience in SAP system is required for this role. Knowledge of cable product testing is an added advantage.

Job Resposibilities:

• Field Support: To carry out Corrective Maintenance (CM) as a result of failure of the hardware and software related to a mission critical system. To restore the system to its operational condition. To monitor and maintain the records of the overall system operational availability and reliability, including Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), system downtime duration and the types of hardware defects as well as all related software versions, patches.
• Field Testing: To carryout software testing on the system whenever there is a new software bug fixes. To ensure the correct configuration of the system is loaded for software / system testing and before the system is used for production.
• Spares Services: To manage the spares provisioning, support and test equipment and other tools that are stored at Authority site. To undertake store keeping functions in respect of receipt, issue and disposal. To carry out serviceability check on the spares and to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to rectify any fault on the spares. To monitor the end-of-life and end-of-support status of the spares and installed hardware.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): To carry out PM on the hardware to retain the system in the specified operational condition in accordance to the planned maintenance schedule. In carrying out the PM, to follow the approved PM checklists to perform calibration, servicing and verification of system configurations. To submit the PM report after each PM.
• Calibration Services: To liaise with vendor to perform calibration services on the test equipment that are used for the preventive maintenance.

Responsible for delivering Service revenue and overseeing parts inventory & supply, preventive maintenance (PM), and installation/repair/maintenance

· Plan and formulate mid to long term service strategy along business vision and strategy

· Review, plan and prepare Service Department’s budgets, forecast and management reports

· Manage Customer Call Centre to review quality claims and requests from customers and distributors.

· Manage Service inventory in right level and manage subcontractors effectively and efficiently

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline

· Minimum 10 years' experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electro-mechanical and/or electronic equipment with min 5 years’ in leadership role

· Power user in Excel, able to create high-quality spreadsheets to interface with accounting software

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

· SME in analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology, and high vacuum systems

· Ability to exercise independent judgment, subject matter expertise and principles of influence and rational systems in making decisions and performing tasks

· Fluent in English plus at least one of Asian languages to best communicate with stakeholders’ and our strategic distributors within the Region

· Strong business acumen with excellent cross-cultural communication skills
