Role and Responsibilities
· Ensure that the business application systems supported by IT shared service are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.
· Ensure that all communication is logged into Ticketing System promptly and completely.
· Manage application configuration and upgrades, and problem analysis and resolution for complex application problems, in conjunction with the users and external application and service suppliers when necessary.
· Administrator and resolve application issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis.
· Supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
· Manage application projects and assist users to run their application projects, providing technical and project management input when required.
· Improve application functionality and performance and provide suggestions for system and business improvements.
· Analyse user processes and produce data and process flow diagrams as well as recommendations for improvements.
· The post holder may be required to respond to out-of-hours application support requests.
· Develop procedures and documentations for application support.
· Develop and maintain interfaces, exports and imports, and ensure their smooth running when required.
· System configuration, scripting and new user administration as required.
· Proactively manage data quality in systems.
· Analyse user processes and produce data and process flow diagrams as well as recommendations for improvements. Work with departments to design and implement more effective business processes.
· Manage interfaces, defined operational system processes and data extracts.
· Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years’ experience in an IT Application Analyst role or related to information technology
Minimum 2-3 years of experience, in the world of retail/luxury, and point of sales management solutions (Cegid, SAP Retail, Retail Pro)
Technical knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL database and in the field of ERP is mandatory
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
