The SRV Technician oversees the hydraulic and mechanical system of the Submarine Rescue Vehicle. The role is also responsible for the operations and maintenance of the SRV using an extensive range of engineering and operational skills/methodology. He/she needs to demonstrate excellent leadership skills. The SRV Technician will work through tasks for specific product line scope in the form of job cards. Tasks include cleaning, disassembly, servicing, greasing, assembly, and function testing, of mechanical and electrical systems on SRV. This includes fault finding, progress and defects will be expected using an extensive range of engineering and operational skills/methodology.

.Whilst onshore:
o Be available to report for duty punctually on board the mothership at Changi Naval Base in accordance with the local sailing notice to deploy the JFS-Submarine Rescue System planned exercise deployment for actual operations.
o Supervise and conduct the planned maintenance and defective technical activities for the SRV systems in accordance with approved OEM manuals, plans, and procedures and in compliance with statutory and class society certification requirements.
o Manage the availability of the SRV, and associated systems for normal and emergency deployment. Keep up to date a technical library of publications, manuals, procedures, and drawings as appropriate.
o Assist the Rescue Service Supervisor with the planned maintenance and defect rectification activities for the SRV and associated system. Also to develop, regularly review, and maintain risk assessments and safety-related documentation of the system.
· Whilst offshore:
o To lead, manage and rectify any defects on the SRV and associated system while offshore.
o To be train as SRV Operator and performing Pre and Post Dive Checks on the SRV and associate system
o The safe and efficient operation of the SRV system in accordance with the standard and Emergency Operations Procedures.
o To assist and support another role as directed by SRV Supervisor/Operations Manager
Any other task as reasonably requested by the SRV Supervisor
The role will require a broad base of experience in the engineering, marine, and associated industries including the following:
· Recognized technical qualification such as diploma relevant subject.
· Demonstrated wealth of experience in mechanical/electrical system maintenance, operations and troubleshooting.
· Demonstrated wealth of experience in pneumatic/hydraulic/marine disciplines
· Medically fit to be deployed and work onboard a ship which will involve working in small spaces and lifting and moving equipment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated good leadership skills and responsibility.
Demonstrate the willingness to participate in the Company’s Quality Management system and undertake auditor training and functions across the Company.
