JOB PURPOSE

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall performance of a business unit with regards to sales, margin, inventory, quoting strategies, suppliers, and the ongoing development of the employees.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Set & achieve sales and margin budgets & objectives

• Perform all necessary research and analysis to establish achievable but yet aggressive sales and profit margin goals by class and by supplier.

Business unit quarterly business review

• Review entire business KPI (Key performance indicators) with business unit. Determine actions required to meet objectives. This is an all-encompassing review: sales, inventory, profit margin, in addition to performance to SLA (Service Level Agreement); supplier performance, customer performance, staff development, etc.

Supplier relationship management

• Build and maintain relationships with all suppliers at the appropriate levels. Supplier Champions are assigned for each supplier.

DPP pricing negotiation

• In conjunction with the Global Commodity Manager, negotiate preferential pricing for Future on stocking devices. For focus suppliers, the Director is responsible.

Product knowledge

• Understand the basic technologies for which you are responsible. Top end applications, basic electronic function the product does in a circuit. Understand the market trends of the end application as fluctuations can influence supply and demand.

Market knowledge

• Understand and communicate competitive landscape, product availability, pricing trends.
• Maintain close scrutiny on market conditions (lead-time and lead-time trends) to establish when inventory needs to be increased in anticipation of future market developments.

• Based on business unit strategy, review all CBO for assigned branches to identify potential issues and sales and profit margin opportunities.
• Prepare and execute quarterly reviews and ensure that we deliver on our commitments to suppliers by creating realistic objectives and follow through on action items.
• Plan and prepare meeting agenda for communication meetings. Present & discuss relevant information in a timely and effective manner. It should include topics such as Service Level Agreement, sales, profit margin, quoting, training, market conditions.
• Negotiate special returns with suppliers where we require additional flexibility outside of contractual rotation/scrap allowance. In addition, special returns need to be actioned by any individual who is able to use their relationship, developed with the supplier, to gain a favor.
• Identify and maintain parts in inventory where sales and marketing needs to be alerted to tightened availability for appropriate business reasons (market conditions, manufacturing issues, etc).
• Approval of quotes based on a dollar threshold set by business unit.
• As appropriate, visit selected customers in the field, and participate in customer visits at corporate headquarters. Prepare and present appropriate information.
• Expedite existing supplier purchase back orders for stocking and/or specific customer requirements. For those situations where greater effort and relationship is required to achieve satisfactory results.
• Target and sign new franchises.
• Determine initial inventory investment, execute on supplier development plan.
• Perform range reviews to determine top non line items to create and purchase.
• Assign quotes by branch and balance workload across quoting positions in a business unit.
• Update cost books, lead-time, factory stock, cross reference files for dashboard and business unit shared drive.
• Adjust CBO pricing upwards in appropriate business conditions (supplier cost increase, restricted availability, etc).
• Prepare and present product related material to increase knowledge base of marketers and / or sales. Includes arrangement of suppliers / reps to conduct training sessions.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience focused on product marketing.
• Experienced in the electronics industry within distribution, component manufacturers and/or EMS companies is highly advantageous but not a must.
• Overseas travel is required for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving and executing the construction of buildings and infrastructure.
• Supported by project managers and his/her team collaborates with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, and contractors to make sure that the construction runs smoothly.
• Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects by relevant building regulations and standards.
• Schedules the construction timelines, coordinates work between various departments, conducts site meetings, and carries out inspections on the building works.
• Chair meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, technical experts, etc. to resolve any design/budget/technical issues that might derail the project delivery.
• Coordinate building inspections by relevant authorities.
• Direct all site activities of site staff, contractors suppliers, etc., and manage the communication between different groups to ensure timely response to project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety measures.
• Manage and deliver projects within the project timeline and budget, as well as the framework of risk and environmental considerations.
• Manage budgets of construction projects.
• Manage work delivery and resources based on resource allocation and project schedules.
• Review construction progress and address the needs of the stakeholders at various stages of the project.
• Work with design teams to review design solutions and ensure they meet the project budget and timeline.
• Lead and oversees project execution, monitor site progress, and ensure on-time completion of the project
• Project planning and project management
• Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and authorities; set guidelines and provide expertise and supervision to the team.
• Project management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects.
• Oversee the planning, analysis, and recommendations in support of project construction planning, implementation, and monitoring work schedules following the master and detailed work program.
• Liaise with consultants for technical issues and coordinate with subcontractors on the site activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate construction policies that support project construction.
• Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management regularly (monthly/bimonthly)
• Prepare and submit monthly, weekly, and daily progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of construction projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, timeliness, and budgetary/financial requirements.
• Provide direction and mentorship to senior/project managers, and project, WSH teams, fostering a collaborative, productive, safe, and high-performance work environment.
• Foster harmonious, positive, and sustainable client, internal and external stakeholders (e.g consultants, government agencies, public, subcontractors, etc) relationships and ensure their expectations, needs, and requirements are met and constantly throughout the whole project life cycle
• Provide technical expertise to the project team throughout the project life cycle to achieve synergy, savings, and productivity.

Job Requirement:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Must have more than 20 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering works
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills and strong analytical skills in bilingual
• Equipped with leadership skills in which able to lead the engineers in completing the jobs.
• Able to work 6 days per week at the Site office.
• Experienced in the construction of high-rise buildings of at least 100m high, with deep basement structures.
• Possess excellent leadership, planning, good management skills, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills to lead a team of engineers and contractors while liaising with peers and colleagues from various departments. Possess the mental and physical stamina to take on numerous challenging tasks while simultaneously meeting high standards and deadlines/vision.
