Responsible for the department's safety performance and awareness; spearheads and manages initiatives that drive a culture of safety first
Under the direction of the Operations Manager and/or General Manager, helps lead the efficient operation and growth of the assigned department
Plan, assign and schedule work for designated staff
Assists in the engineering and coordination of projects from start to finish
Works to ensure quality, timeliness, consistency, and accuracy of test reports
Demonstrate knowledge of Element capabilities, processes, and expertise to be able to explain the benefits of Element testing services clearly
Represents Element with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism at all times
Responsible for promoting and ensuring the Element quality assurance and safety program initiatives are executed upon
Responsible and accountable for assigned staff decisions including hiring, performance management, performance review decisions and execution, and approval of overtime and time cards
Work with assigned staff to ensure work schedules are maintained and balanced
Maintain an environment of respect and dignity within the department covering employee interactions and problem-solving while ensuring work rules are known and followed
Manages a team with fairness and consistency and takes an interest in the development of direct reports
Provide general administrative functions as required (invoicing, job list upkeep, supply report data for creation)
Review testing services and promote additional capacity and process improvement
Translate the technical requirements of the client into providing pricing, timing, and technical knowledge for quoting and commercial efforts

Skills / Qualifications:-

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Materials Science and 5 years of Work Experience in Manager

• Seeking a dynamic and driven team player with strong work ethics including attention to detail.
• Oversee the sub divisions within the Finance Department (AR, AP & Cash processing) for timely billing
  and closing of financial transactions for month end closing
• Check that transactions process are in line with current internal control while looking into process
  improvement with managers
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, i.e. GST, tax
• To embark on work improvement initiatives continuously together with other teams
• To assist with audit queries and matters where applicable
• Any other tasks assigned by management

What Knowledge & Experience We Require From You

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification
• At least 4 years of relevant working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with ACCPAC and SAP would be an advantage
• Strong work ethics including attention to detail and resourcefulness with positive work attitude
• A proactive person with the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines
• Effective team management skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

• Interacting with customers and identifying their needs and preferences
• Operating cash registers and point-of-sale machines
• Receiving and verifying the quality and quantity of new shipments
• Enforcing in-store security and health and safety procedures and regulations
• Assist to condition fresh flowers and maintain the flower shop's cleanliness
• Assist to craft/arrange floral arrangements and bouquets (including but not limited to hand bouquets, table flowers and centerpieces, hampers)
• Assist to prepare and pack fresh flower arrangements and other materials required for daily maintenance, floral set ups which includes preparing floral containers, required props, floral foam and floral carts for storage, refrigeration and delivery
• Assist to deliver flower arrangements, and touch up flowers if there are any placements arranged beforehand
• Assist to do daily routine maintenance, or as and when required to ensure flowers remain in good condition
• Follow instructions and complete tasks assigned by superiors
• Coach and support other team members
• Hire and train new employees for the sales floor or other departments (e.g. shipping and receiving)
• Maintain and monitor store inventory
• Ensure that the store is clean, safe and presentable for customers
• Greet and assist customers as necessary when other sales associates are busy
• Conduct regular audits of the store’s physical and practical condition to ensure quality
• Maintain product levels appropriately
• Interact with the public via social media and maintain the store’s online presence
• Process sales when necessary
