Intro
Barilla Group is recruiting the future Country Manager South and Southeast Asia countries. The individual will report directly to the President of APAC region. The position is based in Singapore.
Scope of the job
The role is accountable for:
· The economic and financial performance of the cluster, by deploying and overseeing the implementation of business strategies, monitoring local market dynamics and developing action plans, managing the sales channels and product portfolio, executing them with excellence while contributing to the innovation pipeline and new launches in full respect of company policies, budget and people management guidelines, global trade and consumer marketing campaigns, local laws and regulations.
· Local team management, by coaching and engaging employees, retaining and rewarding key people in the Organization, leading by example and inspiring people towards Barilla Values Proposition and Barilla behaviours.
Key Accountabilities
· Ensure business performance by building country specific strategy and budget proposals, constantly reviewing business model in place, assessing existing partners (distributors) and scoping new route to markets, allocating proper targets to reporting functions, monitoring economic and financial results - in collaboration with the Team, with full respect of company guidelines and global processes, in order to maximize net sales, profitability, market shares and reach the objectives set.
· Ensure the management of budget and the timely follow up of rolling process, with the support of the F&A function.
· Ensure the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy, actions, and commercial incentives by coordinating the internal team and effectively engaging the distributors/customers to perform.
· Manage the business reviews with distributors and customers, periodically review and assess the value chain in order to drive profitable growth. Ensure the development of annual client plans through proposals for objectives and investments, in order to maximize the presence of Barilla with the assigned clients, optimizing turnover and profit margins.
· Scout for new market opportunities and strive for acquiring customers in order to build the proper and effective customer base.
· Implement country-specific brand/product strategies to improve local product portfolio profitability, by deciding new product introductions, by brand positioning, creative communication activities, identifying the resources to be allocated to Marketing campaigns according to specified sales targets and with respect of indicated product portfolio profitability and product brand guidelines.
· Manage the local team by coaching, implementing development initiatives, applying HR process in order to create a high performing team. Contribute to the integration of the team in the broader Barilla network.
Qualifications
· Master degree or equivalent
· A minimum of 10 years in commercial roles with deep verticals in sales, business development and management strategies and planning
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the FMCG industry
· Strong experience and capability in distributors management and business development
· Experience in upper management or executive-level management
· Strong leadership skills and people management experience
· Strives for defined objectives with perseverance
· Result driven. Being able to successfully implement projects with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
· Hands-on mentality and “Can do” attitude. Take initiatives and ownership.
