Due to business needs, they are now looking for a talented Data Scientist to join their regional team. A key part of your role will see you helping customers to unlock insights from complex datasets and make inform strategic business decisions.
About the role:
As a pivotal player within the data scientist team, you will be responsible for analysing large volumes of data, developing predictive models, and deriving actionable insights that support business objectives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in statistical methods, and expertise in programming and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to prepare for analysis.
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and improve decision-making.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within the data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, to understand data needs and deliver insights that drive product enhancements.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor model performance and refine algorithms based on feedback and changing business requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Document methodologies, processes, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility of analyses.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably within the technology sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib) to present insights effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
