As Principal Specialist for Planning, Strategy & Data Analysis (PSDA), you will contribute individually as well as assist your Deputy Director to manage a small team to work on facilitating discussions and develop measures and strategies for the organisation’s needs. You should excel at communicating, engaging multiple stakeholders including government agencies, conducting evidence-based studies and analysis, and moving strategies into implementation.

Job Responsibilities

• Negotiate, coordinate, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Workforce Singapore (WSG).
• Conduct studies of industry groups, worker segments, overall employment and employability landscape, and/or ad hoc studies as requested, to identify trends, threats, and opportunities. Craft compelling stories and data-driven recommendations from findings or insights to be presented to various stakeholders.
• Support senior management with new matters that arise by making sense of emerging issues and gaps that do not fit neatly into clear categories, as well as corporate and strategy matters, including monitoring and tracking KPIs; preparation for external meetings with government agencies; analysing developments that impact the organisation.
• Organise and support annual corporate planning sessions and seminars (and ad hoc brainstorming sessions) to conceptualise overall workplan and communicate corporate strategy, provide analysis and insights to support and guide management in decision-making.
• Prepare and present regular reports and topical presentations to senior management, including NTUC senior management.
• Oversee, plan for, maintain, and track clean data to be used for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders/clients to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions

Qualifications

• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

Responsibilities:

Database Administration

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for database-related services.
• Manage the daily BAU operation of database-related services.
• Carry out service monitoring, end-to-end performance correlation, and database performance optimization. Create, review and update system documentation and work instructions to enhance the efficiency of daily operations.
• Perform capacity planning to size database resources to meet the demands of application workloads.
• Plan, execute, and monitor backup schedules in accordance with business needs and data retention policies.
• Review database security, perform database hardening, and apply regular or ad-hoc security patches to ensure compliance with IT security policy.
• Coordinate/Support with application support teams to schedule database updates and upgrade databases with minimal business impact.
• Provide Level 2 support for database service-related queries.
• Perform incident escalation in accordance to escalation procedures.
• Coordinate with other functional teams in incident handling, and ensure incidents are resolved or work- around within stipulated SLAs.
• Contribute to or drive root-cause analysis.
• Ensure that all internal processes and procedures are up to date and in accordance with the company's directives.

Data Services Provisioning

• Perform requirement gathering with application support teams.
• Recommend appropriate data services and system capacity according to agreed requirements.
• Develop configuration policies to optimize security, performance, and availability.
• Set up data services according to policies and guidelines.
• Set up data pipelines for data analytics and dashboard initiatives.
• Coordinate with other functional teams to complete the work required to operationalize data services such as IP address assignment, DNS requests, firewall port opening and security scan, database onboarding, data pipeline creation, database monitoring, and database performance monitoring.
• Ongoing review and improvement of process flow, system, and processes through automation, innovation, as well as the adoption of new technologies.

Implementation of IT Initiatives and Solutions

• Provide feedback on the design of data services for new systems.
• Support execution of database services initiatives and business projects.

Requirements:

• A recognized diploma or degree in IT or related fields.
• Minimal 5 years of hands-on experience in systems and database administration in an enterprise or campus environment.
• Hand-on experience in administering MSSQL, Oracle database (10g and above), Oracle high availability technologies such as RAC and Data Guard, database performance tuning and troubleshooting, and database upgrades and migrations tools.
• Hand-on experience in data cleansing, data transformation, and data quality management.
• Hand-on experience in developing dashboards using data visualization tools e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI and etc.
• Knowledge of MariaDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in Windows, and Linux variants, preferably Red Hat and Ubuntu.
• Experience in capacity planning, availability management and business continuity management.
• Experience in project management.

Role:

Manage the data centre operation in Data Centers to support the IT infrastructure operation. Ensures the batch operation operates effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategies and improve the operation and SOP.
2. Manage data centre batch operation for both Mainframe and Open system to ensure jobs are monitored, trigger timely and escalated timely if there are any issues
3. Manage and support data centre tools upgrade
4. Support the automation initiative to remove manual task and improve turnaround time
5. Involve in the product development of Operation Dashboard
6. Experience in using OPC to schedule jobs and API tasks

Responsibilities:

• A yard technician will assist the Asst. Yard Manager with the day to day yard operations. He must have the ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment and would require to complete certifications on safety operation of these heavy equipment.
• Work closely with the yard team in deliveries and shipment and safe keeping of all stock located within the warehouse.
• Do verification of incoming to and outgoing from of equipment / materials shipments from the warehouse
• Compares deliveries with specifications indicated on purchase orders/contract document and prepares discrepancy reports for any item not in compliance.
• Using delivery documentation or delivery notes, prepares items for dispatch to clients
• Inspects physical condition of the storage area, materials and equipment
• In conjunction with the Financial Controller undertakes physical inventories if required.

Act as a team member, providing essential support to the Data Services Lead in the day-to-day operations of the Data Services team. This support aims to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services, uninterrupted system uptime, and round-the-clock accessibility of data services to support the University's diverse business systems.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for data services-related products (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, ASP.NET)
