We are currently looking for a Data Center Engineer to support Data Center Project design and implementation.

Responsibilities:

- Involve in Data Center projects from planning, implementation, to completion.

- Assist structured cabling design in IT rooms and work with vendors on the implementation.

- Assist to manage purchase requests required for projects.

- Provide onsite support for installations and physical inspection to ensure quality of work by vendors

- Maintaining of project reports, records, documentations

Requirements:

- At least 4 years of experience in Data Centers and IT Facilities

- Proficient in structured cabling design and implementation

- Familiar in supporting project work

- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, occasional weekend works with compensated day-off.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the project teams including Align, the client and the vendors throughout the project

• Manage the process with a deep understanding of risk mitigation and chain of custody for physical servers

• Gather documentation and build and develop a delivery plan for all the work streams

• Advise clients on potential risk, and manage client expectations

• Continually improve the process and framework and update our migration solution

• Develop and maintain project plans including charter, scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, resource plans, budget, task dependencies, schedule, open issues, and risk assessment, management and mitigation plans across multiple work streams.

• Work with resource managers, technical staff and business subject matter experts to orchestrate project delivery to ensure projects are delivered and executed in alignment with the overall project plan, driving customer outcomes, and customer satisfaction.

• Define and manage overall project risks and take corrective action in a proactive manner to mitigate risks and prevent issues.

• Direct and monitor work efforts on a daily basis, identify resource needs, perform quality review; and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.

• Provide clear and timely communication regarding the status of the project – schedule, budget, progress to date, risks etc. - to relevant stakeholders.

Experience required:

• Preferably candidate should have 10-15 years of professional experience

• Minimum of 5+ years of Data Center Migration and IT transformation project experience (assessments, migrations, consolidations, virtualization projects, etc. )

• Must have prior experience managing one or more complex, enterprise-level data center migration or consolidation projects

• A holistic understanding of IT infrastructure inclusive of server, storage, network, database, systems, DR/business recovery and continuity practices, etc.

• Understands application and workload move dispositions (cloud, P2V, V2V, P2P, Lift and Shift) and the methodologies around each

• Proven client engagement and development consulting experience

• Experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical audiences

• Experience working in an agile development environment

• Ability to create and manage budgets

• Familiar with project schedules and dependencies (Microsoft Project)

• Experience in executing change control, quality, risk management and communications throughout the project

Technical Qualifications

• Applied understanding of data center functions,(including basis Data Center Facilities knowledge) technologies and interdependencies:

• PMP certification is desired

• IT BCP, ITIL and ITSM knowledge and certifications desired

Qualifications And Experiences

• Bachelor/Master Degree degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics or similar quantitative field.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia, with a focus on data manipulation and model development.
  • Experience with optimization libraries and tools (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools, Pyomo).
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn) and how they integrate with optimization models.
  • Experience with data processing tools and frameworks such as SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib) to present findings and optimization outcomes.
