· Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification

Functions/Responsibilities:

· Mentoring a team of systems operations engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.

· Monitor condition of server, apps and security measures

· Identify, log and resolve technical problems of the scope (Incident Management)

· Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels (Service Request / Incident / Change / Patch Management)

· Respond to site to troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify faults

· Liaise and coordinate the recovery of systems

· Identify potential changes and system improvements for consideration and implementation (continuous improvements)

· Create, maintain and distribute reports of progress to service delivery manager.

· Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Performance Requirements:

· Demonstrate strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Clusters, NLB, or Unix.

· Exhibit proficiency in OS provisioning, hardening, and patching.

· Show expertise in Solarwinds and Manage Engine.

· Demonstrate good knowledge of antivirus solutions such as Symantec.

· Display strong understanding of cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.

· Experience with BMC Control-M.

· Showcase robust server experience, including AD administration and basic networking skills.

· Ability to mentor and motivate a team.

· Exhibit self-driven qualities and effectiveness in working both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

· Display excellent problem-solving and logical thinking skills.

· Must possess good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external contacts.

· Demonstrate excellent customer management skills.

Education or Qualification:

· At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized institution.

· At least an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification

· At least 3 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure support is required for this position.

Role:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with Marine Boilers.
• Carry out repairs on inboard and outboard marine boilers.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure all shipboard systems are functioning properly.
• Travel domestically and internationally to service jobs on board vessels.
• Maintain cleanliness of the ship and engine room while onboard.
• Provide detailed reports on work performed and communicate the nature of repairs and services to customers.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to marine services and repairs.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of all services performed, including time spent, parts used, and labor involved.
• Use service management software to log and track repairs and maintenance tasks.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other technicians and service team members to ensure efficient workflow and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in marine mechanics or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marine service and repair for boilers.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to solve problems.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and marine service equipment.
• Knowledge of marine engines, auxiliary engines, and cargo pumps.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and performing physically demanding tasks.
