We are looking for a Design Manager to spearhead our Graphic Design team and bring bold, innovative ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning:

• Collaborate with senior management to define the creative direction and align it with business goals.

3. Concept Development & Execution:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire the graphic design team
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members to elevate the quality of deliverables and foster professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) and other design tools.
• Experience in Print, Motion Graphics, and Digital Design (websites, social media, animations, videos).
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects, including print, motion, and digital designs
• Strong communication skills
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset, passion for design, and eagerness to learn new skills.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in typography, 3D design, or advanced motion graphics.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles for digital projects.

Responsibilities:

• Fully responsible for Netlist-to-GDS physical design implementation of low power chips

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Masters Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
• Experience in physical design with tape-outs
• Knowledge of complete Netlist-to-GDS flow, Synopsys/Cadence tools like ICC or Encounter
• Good in script programming with Perl, TCL/TK or other languages

This is What You Will do in This Role:

• Review and understand sales solution requirements
• Co-ordination and preparation of inputs for systems proposals including designs, layouts, costs, schedules and technical documentation to meet submission deadlines.
• Identification and evaluation of controls, safety and IT (WMS and WCS) requirements and considering them in the layout design.
• Understanding the customer’s operation and considering them in the layout design.
• Identification and evaluation of opportunities for alternatives, design innovation and differentiation.
• Calculate machine and conveyor performances by applying application rules.
• Sourcing information and quotations from other departments, internal product centres and external suppliers for equipment & services and to ensure all quotations are technically and commercially sound.
• Liaise closely with Dematic product & knowledge centres and external suppliers for pricing and technical information.
• Ensure designs are properly optimized and all proposal cost estimates and associated inputs are accurate and competitively priced while maintaining technical integrity.
• Ensure solutions are technically sound.
• Identification of any technical project risks.
• Facilitate pre-sales design and costing reviews with key internal stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Commercial)
• Ensure smooth and complete handover of proposals and tender submissions to engineering following project sale.
• Adoption and/or development & refinement Costing tools to improve the speed and accuracy of the costing process and in to ensure a meaningful format of presentation for other functions who will receive these as inputs.
• Keep abreast of solutions and technologies within the organisation and amongst competitors in the market
• Provide internal updates & presentations related to technical product/solution information
• Support sales with customer visits for technical discussions, clarifications and site surveys.

Job Purpose:

The Design Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the unique style and personality of The Standard, Singapore. Working closely with the property and Corporate Design Team, you will support the property’s design initiatives, focusing on furniture, small construction projects, signage, maintenance of existing designs, and assisting in design development. Your creativity will be key to ensuring that every visual element aligns with The Standard’s vibrant and distinctive brand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Management Team to ensure that all spaces meet the specified standards and that public areas are always "in show" status.
• Maintain Design Integrity: Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure that interior design standards are consistently met. This includes ensuring all rooms, displays, layouts, structures, signage, and event setups are visually up to par.
• Lead Property Tours: Conduct weekly property tours with department heads to report on active, pending, and completed projects impacting guest experience, ensuring they are aligned with brand integrity.
• Project Reporting: Assist in clear and accurate reporting of design projects across all departments, ensuring ongoing communication and understanding.
• Design Execution: Execute all design-related projects as specified by the corporate design team, including material sourcing, vendor selection, budget management, and creating maintenance manuals.
• Vendor Coordination: Schedule, follow up, and oversee outside vendor projects in a professional manner.
• Procurement and Inventory Management: Manage the processing and tracking of Purchase Orders, coordinate furniture placement, landscaping maintenance, and oversee tools and materials needed across the property. Maintain and organize inventory of all fixtures, furniture, and equipment on and off property.
• Support Marketing and Events: Collaborate with the marketing team on the physical and creative setups for activations and events, ensuring design consistency.
• Installations and Communication: Coordinate on-site installations and communicate work schedules with relevant departments.
• Material Sourcing: Source new and replacement materials for projects, whether locally, nationally, or internationally.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of interior design experience, preferably within hospitality or lifestyle brands.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, CAD, SketchUp, and similar design software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, floor plans, and understand spatial relationships.
• Knowledge of basic wood and metal finishes and general contracting terms.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Job Responsibilities

· Inform Design Team, Cost / Commercial team of all client-led change proposals and instructions.

· To manage local consultants in the execution of design development.

· To assist in coordination between Design Team, Consultants, Operator stakeholders.

· Assist site team in resolution of site clashes.

· Participate in workshops and lead, manage the consultants as required in review and comment of shop drawings in terms of constructability, sequencing and ensure quality of he design aesthetic is maintained throughout.

· Follow through on design development of Concept, Schematic, Development and Construction Documentation for all projects where applicable.

· To attend and review Mock Ups.

· Conduct site and factory visits to ensure implementation and compliance with approved design intent and direction.

· Interfacing with internal and external Operations Management to ensure timely incorporation of operational requirements within the project design.

· Manage the design change process to ensure minimal impact to project schedule and minimize cost impacts as a result of such design change.

· To assist consultants and design team to complete and resolve any unforeseen interface problems throughout the various Design Phases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 year’s working experience in Architecture Design Management of Hospitality would be preferred
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.

Job Description

• Design and implement computational / AI methods in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) domains;
• Research and prototype implementations of emerging digital technologies that can be harnessed in the AEC;
• Regularly document and explain decisions made in creating the prototype;
• Work in a team to actively contribute new ideas, technologies and insights regarding the development of AEC tech;
• Periodically attach to Architectural Design teams throughout the building design lifecycle to immerse in building design tasks to discover pain points and test solution prototypes;
• Schedule and organize user research / testing / feedback sessions.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency in Revit + Dynamo, Rhino + Grasshopper, or other parametric design software;
• Proficiency in Python, Typescript, C#/.NET;
• Proficiency in version control using Git;
• Experience in UI/UX.
