He/She leads a team of Assistant Engineers and Technicians and general workers to ensure that maintenance works and services are carried out swiftly and in accordance with regulatory requirements to minimise disruptions to operations and ensure progression to meet project schedule.

The Engineer acts as a first point of contact for complex repairs and works closely with client and team to address and resolve technical and engineering issues. He/She develops maintenance and engineering regimes and ensures that they are implemented, and assesses risks and its impact on the organisation. The Engineer solves day-to-day issues and oversees the implementation of workflow improvements that may enhance clients' satisfaction, as well as optimise the use of the organisations resources.

The Engineer is a team player with strong leadership skills. He/She should be able to work under pressure, multi-task and work irregular hours, as well as be prepared to work at various heights.

~ Analyse risk management data.

~ Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of installation and commissioning.

~ Manage compliance to risk management frameworks, policies and processes.

~ Manage engineering resources.

~ Monitor maintenance and repair schedules to ensure compliance.

~ Oversees the deployment of staff to maintenance functions.

~ Prepares specifications and drawings installation.

~ Specify system components or direct modification of products.

~ Inspection on installation method

~ Effectiveness of the corrective action process and the improvement implementation

~ Documentation of the production inspection plan, process control plan, technical work instruction

~ Documentation of Corrective Action Request (‘CAR’), processing of returned material, maintenance of product quality tracking status

~ Plan and track receiving quality inspection results and records

~ Compile quality summary report

Responsibiliites :

• Collaborate with the business development Team to develop and come up with detailed solar PV system designs that meet client requirements, local codes, and industry standards.
• Optimise system layout for maximum energy production and cost-effectiveness.
• Perform solar resource assessments to determine energy generation potential.
• Conduct shading analysis and assess site suitability for solar installations.
• Develop bill of materials (BOM) for projects.
• Use modelling software to predict system performance, energy output, and financial returns.
• Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and utility requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures for solar installations.
• Conduct inspections to ensure system integrity and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams during system setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Create and maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Monitor and ensure systems are operating optimally before handing over to clients.
• Promote and adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all installations meet safety requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for every project to ensure that projects are within schedule.
• Provide technical support for sales, proposals, and during potential client meetings.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• Solar experience is added advantage

Requirements :

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field
• Prefer two (2) years of relevant work experience
• Preferably with Energy Industry or Renewable Products background
• AutoCAD, PVSyst or Helioscope skills preferred
