PERTAPIS HALFWAY HOUSE provides for treatment and rehabilitative services to substance abusers, enabling them to reintegrate into society and be active contributors.

Halfway House hosts 100 offenders or abusers placed under community based rehabilitation.

Our skills development programs aim to provide the tools for a seamless re-integration in society.

Job Description

• Ensure daily needs of residents are well taken care of
• Motivate residents through their day to day interaction
• Oversee security screening to ensure contrabands are not brought into the house.
• Facilitate the process of residents checking in and out of the halfway house on a daily basis and provide daily updates on the headcount and other activities/incidents (if any) throughout the tour of duty. Any unusual movements should be highlighted and reported to the relevant parties.
• Refer residents’ issues to Social Worker when necessary

Operations

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / LICENSES

Education or equivalent experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nautical studies, or a related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Professional certification equivalent to 5 years of sea-going experience or equivalent to 2nd Officer rank
• Resourceful and self-driven with a high degree of professional integrity

Skills & Experience:

• Commercial Maritime Qualification (CMQ): This industry-recognized qualification demonstrates competency in various aspects of commercial ship operations. Different levels of CMQ exist depending on the size and complexity of vessels managed.

The Education Consultant undertakes responsibilities in the Program Management & Student Recruitment Team.
