• Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including room preparation, procurement of materials, and availability of equipment specific to each course.
• Conduct and oversee delivery of the following courses and training programs:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support + AED (BCLS+AED)
• Standard First Aid
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (review sessions)
• Emergency Medical Technician (review sessions)
• UPEC-ITE Paramedic Conversion (review sessions)
• Sports First Aid
• Skill refreshers
• Other relevant ambulance department courses or training

Equipment and Material Maintenance

• Ensure proper maintenance of training equipment and timely replenishment of consumables.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure readiness for training sessions.

Audit Peparation and Collaboration

• Lead preparations for internal and external audits, ensuring training documentation meets required standards.
• Work closely with department heads to identify and address specific training needs.

Operational and Event Support

• Serve as a backup paramedic during extenuating circumstances such as manpower shortages, providing operational support when required.
• Assist in the planning and execution of events as needed to ensure seamless delivery.
• Provide leadership to the Learning and Development team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and HR strategies.
• Collaborate with senior management to continuously improve employee engagement and development frameworks.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of programmes and initiatives, utilizing metrics to drive decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance (ACLP) and Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA).
• Relevant SRFAC certifications (e.g., BCLS+AED, ACLS, First Aid).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or equivalent) is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in developing and delivering emergency medical training programs.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining training equipment used in healthcare and ambulance services.
• Familiarity with audit standards and compliance requirements in the medical training sector.

As a Technician LS1, you will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations.

In this role, a typical day will include:

· To operate manufacturing equipment to produce and/or package contact lenses.

· To operate autoclave to sterilise contact lenses.

· Ensure contact lenses are manufacturing to the best quality level possible.

· Perform activities in compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices in a controlled and regulated environment.

· To ensure compliance to Data Integrity such that information is attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original and accurate.

· Perform all production activities at various stages under cleanroom environment and to work as a team with cross-functional team member to achieve production targets in compliance with cGMP, quality and safety requirements. Handle production tasks and ensures daily target and highest product quality are achieved.

· To maintain the quality standard of Contact Lens manufacturing

· To meet the yield, equipment performance and uptime of the LTs being assigned

· To perform IPC (in process check) such as Visual Lens Inspection and Operator Packaging check.

· To schedule contact lenses to be sterilised within 12 hrs.

· To perform simple machine setup eg Ink change

· To support maintenance activities and troubleshoot machine issues

· To maintain 5S in the production floor

· To participate in Kaizen project for continuous improvement in manufacturing performance

· Perform GxP cleaning and production end waste disposal.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

· NITEC in Engineering with 1-2 years of working experience in manufacturing

· Comfortable to assist in pushing of rolling carts that weighs 300kg.

· Perform inspection of lenses under increased lighting and magnification.
