The Place and Train Trainee Educator is a place-and-train programme that provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to interact, plan and implement programmes, and set up conducive environments in childcare setting for children from 2 months to 6 years old (depending on the enrolled course).

Job Responsibilities

To adhere to the individual centre’s schedule and practices

To assist in Educators in preparing and implementing daily programme to create a stimulating and engaging pleasant learning environment that promotes learning.

Maintain general cleanliness, hygiene and overall tidiness of the classroom

Ensure the safety and well-being of the children while performing duties

Adhere to Teaching Standards, Safety, Hygiene, Rules and Regulations set by the centre and ECDA

Provide all other support and assistance where necessary to ensure smooth operations

Job Requirement

Min. Sec 2 education and above

First Aid Certification will be an advantage

Less than 6 months of experience in a childcare/preschool

High tolerance threshold towards children Passionate in teaching

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skill

Reporting to the Principal and Vice Principal, the Infant-care Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and management of a class of infants/toddlers (2 - 18 months) in accord with the goals and curriculum plan of the education centre.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and implement the programme for the class in accordance with centre’s policies and framework.
• Carrying out routine care duties.
• Create an open, friendly, and cooperative atmosphere in which children and parents feel comfortable and secure.
• Responsible for the safety and hygiene of the children.
• Provide experiences that promote individual expression through conversation, play, and creative interaction.
• Complete progress reports and prepare a developmental portfolio for each child.
• Ensure that parents receive adequate information about their child’s progress at the centre.
• Assist the child in coping with anxiety during the transition phase (separation from parents when placed into infant care school)

Job Requirements

• Certifications in Early Childhood Care & Education (DPT/CPT/HCIC/CIT/ACEY)
• Possess Fundamentals or Certificate in Preschool teaching
• First Aid Certification will be an advantage
• Experience in toddler care will be an advantage
• Passionate in nurturing infants and toddlers
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Trainee teachers that is under-going Certification in Early Childhood CAre & Education are welcome to apply

• Certificate in Preschool Mother Tongue Language (Malay) (CPMTL-M)
• Certificate in Preschool Mother Tongue Language (Tamil) (CPMTL-T)
• Creative and inspiring.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a passion in teaching young children.
