The Digital Literacies Educator will provide the following services:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Nurture an e-Learning/ePedagogy culture in the school.
2. Create e-Learning content and design digital/interactive resources for teachers.
3. Provide software and technical assistance to staff and students.
4. Compile student showcase projects and guide/coach students through ICT competitions.
5. Assist in developing and researching IT solutions.
6. Collaborate with the HOD EdTech to spearhead IT initiatives.
Training Workshops:
The educator will conduct customized ICT-based training workshops for:
- Students
- Teachers
Course Offerings:
For classes or small groups of students and teachers:
1. Touch Typing
2. Mother Tongue text input (Windows IME, Creative Hansvision, Malay, and Tamil languages) 3. Mother Tongue apps and related EdTech
4. Cyber Wellness topics
5. E-Learning Portal/Student Learning Space
6. Utilizing Multimedia facilities (Scanner, Digital Camera)
7. Basic photo editing (Adobe Photoshop)
8. Presentation graphics (MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
9. Web graphics (basic)
10. Microsoft Office/Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
11. Adobe Software (Flash, Fireworks, etc.)
12. Basic video production (Premiere Pro or Microsoft Video Editor)
13. Coding (Scratch, Microbit)
14. AI/Prompt engineering courses
Additional Requirements:
- Any other courses as required by the school
- Trainer experience in the educational field
The ideal candidate shall possess the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience: 1. Relevant certification in ICT and emerging technologies.
2. Proficiency in the English language.
3. Knowledge and proficiency in school systems, including: - Website programming - Google Docs
4. Proficiency in software applications: - Adobe suite - Photoshop - Dreamweaver - Animation tools
5. Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and prompt engineering.
6. Training and experience in Digital Manga Art Design.
7. Competence in ICT tools: - Interactive Whiteboard - DSLR cameras - 3D printing - Videocam - Swivl - Video editing - AVA equipment
8. Skilled in photography and videography.
9. Proficiency in: - Scratch coding - Microbit coding
10. Good knowledge of ICT tools for self-directed and collaborative learning.
11. Familiarity with both Windows and Mac platforms.
12. Experience managing children under 12 years old.
13. Previous experience working in a primary school setting is advantageous.
14. Registration with the Ministry of Education (MOE) is required.
Mondays to Fridays : 7.00am to 4:15pm inclusive of 45mins lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays and school holidays (unless requested by school)
• Candidate must be prepared to work on some Saturdays as requested by school in advance.
