Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are seeking Research Engineers to join the exciting new Imperial/NTU CYber Protection for HEalthcaRe (IN-CYPHER) research programme on the cybersecurity of connected medical devices and systems. The research programme represents a collaboration between the United Kingdom and Singapore and will be based at the newly established Imperial Global Singapore (IGS).

IN-CYPHER is comprised of four interacting themes, spanning the design of intelligent medical devices through to the use of their data in informing personalised healthcare. Allied to other programmes in Singapore and the UK, it represents a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of research and development into securing the vital information that flows from implantable, wearable and connected medical devices, and the personalised healthcare systems that consume such data. The four themes of IN-CYPHER are:

• Theme 1 Protecting Implantable Devices
• Theme 2 Securing Connected Wearables & Healthcare Systems
• Theme 3 Algorithms for Privacy, Security and Provenance
• Theme 4 Clinical Innovation & Translation

Connected medical devices are increasingly employed in the drive towards increasingly personalised health, and in delivering virtually all aspects of healthcare. With key researchers and teams from both Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we seek to develop deep technologies that are informed by threat models for the emerging area of personalised medicine, and specifically where patient stratification or treatment personalisation leverages processes that use data-driven machine learning.

Given the span of the IN-CYPHER programme, we are seeking up to 4 motivated research engineers to join the IN-CYPHER programme. Unique in its scope, we are developing technologies that span embedded systems, and the protocols used to control and communicate sensitive patient information, all the way up to interventional devices and systems for personalised healthcare.

We are particularly looking for research engineers with the following backgrounds:

- Cybersecurity engineering

- Large Language Models (particularly fine-tuning LLMs, and Mixtures of Experts)

- ASIC design and hardware engineering

- Biomedical sensor design and fabrication

- Data science

- Biomedical Engineering

- Software engineering

- Cybersecurity threat modelling

- Data-driven personalised healthcare

- Model-based personalised healthcare (e.g. pharmokinetic modelling)

- Translational and regulatory expertise in medical devices

The collaborating Departments include senior academics from the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction and the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial – the largest Biomedical Engineering Department in the UK – and senior researchers from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University. Candidates will be employed by Imperial Global Singapore, a research division of Imperial College London, consistently ranked within the top 10 of the QS University Rankings. Responsibilities

Operations

• To process order from Workshop and Warehouse Department
• To manage goods receiving process and ensure proper checking & inspection of goods are done
• To report discrepancy issues arising from Goods Receiving
• To update Order Tracking Report and Goods Receiving Report and ensure on the accuracy
• To assist Warehouse Executive in diesel ordering, deployment and coordination with site personnel

Project & Departments

• To process order from project sites and internal departments
• To manage end-to-end order fulfillment from the order to goods delivery

• Responsible for assets creation and disposal e.g. container, ECM plant, weight bridge & etc
• To update Assets Master List and Mobile Web Apps for rental items

Requirements

• Certificate / Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Location in Sungei Kadut Workshop until the workshop in Jalan Papan is ready
  

• Attend to technical matters at site by developing solutions to problems with the application of engineering concepts, practices and techniques.
• Planning of work and recourses with particular reference to work program to ensure timely progress.
• Close coordination with sub-contractors, supervisors, surveyors,foremen and to ensure effective teamwork.
• Provides relevant information and reports to Project Manager regularly.
• To liaise with maincon on the day to day inspection on site.
• To sort out discrepancies and other detailing problems in the construction works with the consultants and superiors.
• Implement any and all relevant policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company's Quality System requirement.
• Assist project manager to prepare daily/weekly and monthly site reports and submit to the planning department.
• Assist project manager to prepare all related documents before any commencement of any works at site including: Method statements
• Material submission in order to get approval from supervising consultants before they can be used at site.
• Preliminary drawings/shop drawings before the consultant can come out with detailed drawings.
• Permit to work by internal parties such as Safety, QAQC and Environmental departments.
• Liaise with Design and Technical Department in order to get drawings for construction.
• Assist and liaise with Approval Department in order to get all the permits to work by local authorities or third parties.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
  

• Assisting in setting up the test equipment for production and engineering team.
• Handle all Test & Backend Equipment sustaining i.e. Bench, ATE, Handlers, Thermostream, ICOS, Laser Mark, etc.

Requirements:

• Nitec in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Biomedical, Mechatronics
• Able to work rotating 12-hr shift
