ALATAS Crane Services Worldwide is a worldwide operating crane service specialist and offers crane related services and parts supply in the Ship-, Offshore-, and Construction industry.

With our global set-up of 14 offices worldwide, we offer field service, provide technical solutions for emergency repairs, large scale overhauls, load testing, inspections, component repairs, spare parts supply as well as supply of new cranes and upgrades to existing ones.

Our specialized Crane Service Engineers are professionals in their field and are available attend to crane problems throughout the world.

We also operate a repair workshop for hydraulic- & mechanical components, such as hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, gearboxes and other crane components.

To support our crane servicing department, we are employing experienced Workshop Technician as follows:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assemble, dismantle, service & repair of Marine pumps and machinery parts
• Steel repairs on Grabs, Windlasses & other Deck Machinery Parts
• Afloat repairs on Deck Machinery & Cranes

REQUIREMENTS:

• NTC 3 (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of at least 3 years of experience in the assemble, dismantle, service & repair of Marine pumps and machinery parts (is a must)
• Welding qualifications will be an added advantage
• Pro-active team player, with the right working attitude and willing to work overtime

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of monthly, quarterly management account and year-end financial statements on a tight timeline basis.
2. Familiar with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Preparation of Journal Voucher; monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts schedule and intercompany reconciliation.
4. Preparation of statutory reports, corporate tax computation & tax schedules.
5. Preparation of quarterly GST submission.
6. Part of the team which is responsible for establishing, reviewing and updating of group accounting policies and procedures in line with changes in business requirements and relevant financial reporting standards.
7. Work closely with CFO, Group Finance manager and Controlling team in FP&A and sustainable value-adding projects.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree in Accounting with certified accounting qualification or in the final stages of obtaining a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA).
2. Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Practical, hands-on experience for 3-4 years in the manufacturing industry.

Job Description:

• Familiarization of ASME / API Codes & Standards, DNV Rules
• Proven experience of providing solutions on NDT inspection related problems
• Responsible for company NDT management and controls
• Responsible for trouble shot problems related to NDT
• Provide internal training technical guidance to QC Inspectors
• Develop/Review/approve NDT procedures, NDT techniques complying with project/code/regulatory requirements. Review NDT procedures prepared by NDT sub-contractor as per project specification prior to submitting for client approval
• Monitor the performance of NDT personnel through system of review of qualification, competency assessment, Cross checks and reports review
• Risk assessment of NDT works and lead the risk assessment process of NDT in the yard
• Prepare and conduct Project Specific Inductions/workshops/tool/box talk about NDT requirements
• Co-ordinate with NDT contractors to develop and update their individual competency matrix
• Maintain all NDT personnel qualification records and update from time to time.
• Keep a copy of all NDT contractors’ certificates
• Review NDT operator qualification and submit for project approval
• Establish calibration and validation blocks required to demonstrate Ultrasonic Testing
• Perform Audit on NDT contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Witness & provide technical guidance on standard PAUT validations
• Provide technical support for inspection auditing activities and provide effective audit programming for companywide NDT activities
• Reviewing and commenting on standards, specifications, and enquiries
• Work as part of a team to ensure all regulatory, quality and customer requirements are met
• Verify NDT reports for project requirements compliance
• Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working
• Sound communication skills – able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc
• Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience in fabrication environment as NDT Level III
• ASNT/PCN Level III qualification in UT/RT/MT/PT/ CSWIP (PAUT)
• Reports to Principal Welding and NDT Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with construction team to prepare document for Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Open Tender

• Source potential tenderers/subcontractors and send out invitation for RFQs

• Coordinate queries and clarifications between tenderers and construction team during RFQ stage

• Coordinate post-tender interviews between tenderers, construction team, QS team and contracts team

• Assist QS manager and contracts manager with quantity surveying matters relevant to Sub-Contract, Works Order and Purchase Order.

• Assist contracts team in administration of subcontracts

• Handle payment request received from subcontractors and suppliers

• Preparation and submission of Variation Order & Progress Claim to Client (LTA)

• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any dispute or variation

• Any other adhoc tasks assigned by QS Manager / Contracts Manager

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Survey, Purchasing/Procurement, Business, Engineering.

• 5- 8 years’ experience in quantity surveying and sub-contract administration of Construction Project.

• Possess the relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law.

• Experience with LTA project is preferable.
