RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- This role is responsible to deliver Privacy Solutions, and individual is expected to have sound knowledge in Privacy domain. The Privacy Specialist will review the company's services, products, and offerings to identify privacy related requirements, help execute, and improve Data & Privacy Transformation. The position will be responsible for consulting on privacy matters, development, implementation, maintenance and execution of policy and procedural analysis, documentation and technical delivery. This role will also require coordination with multiple business areas within and outside the Data & Privacy Programme Team to ensure privacy requirements are effectively implemented to promote compliance objectives.
- To be successful in this role, the candidate should have in-depth knowledge of GDPR and local data protection laws, be familiar with banking industry and the nature of data processing activities. He/she will be required to perform reviews of our current solutions. The candidate must be proactive in promoting any necessary steps to strengthen the solution delivery and must be able to communicate to all Group entities around the globe.
Business
- Subject matter expert both from data privacy & its related technology perspective
- Responsible for assisting with the management of the data privacy, data protection, data usability, performance and the integrity of the privacy solutions
- Maintain awareness and knowledge around vendor products, offerings, and in-house solutions
- Perform evaluations on applicability to Data and Privacy Transformation Programme ecosystem & the requirements, together with PO's, SM's, SME’s and other stakeholders
- Scrutinize project constraints to analyze alternatives, mitigate risks, and conduct process re-engineering as necessary
- Take an active role in designing and implementing the objectives, while always taking into consideration regulatory requirements
- Work with Solution Architecture Team to make sure the deployment architecture does meet the required standards and the strategic roadmap
- Own the build and upkeep of the architecture documentation covering functional flow & physical deployment details
- Take holistic approach as part of solution assessment like integrations - upstream, downstream and other bank's eco system
- To collaborate in defining product delivery and implementation roadmap
- Lead and drive inter-tower collaboration within SCB infrastructure, development, security. ITSM & other organizations to enable smooth execution of delivery plan
- Assess Cloud Value for the solution onboarding to Cloud. Engage Cloud Enablement & DevOps squad for Cloud Onboarding & Infrastructure Deployment
- Be accountable to meet the release cycle compliance - SDF process. Build, maintain & store artifacts in Confluence, RAT, Jira, code repo, CI/CD pipeline etc
- End to end accountability of planning and delivering technical solutions from dev until production
- Publish release calendars in agreement with business stakeholders
- Support onboarding of business users and define framework to support during pilot rollouts
- Ensure the team is staffed and track/prioritise business requests through Jira
- Define a solution delivery procedure and process for better planning and engagement
Stakeholder Engagements
- Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions – deep understanding of the problem and context along with ownership are key to be successful in this role
- Collaborate with stakeholders to make strategic design, new features and functionality
- Provide leadership in the role, lead discussions and participate in key decision making with stakeholders.
- Work with PO for User Stories planning for each quarter
- Provide regular update on delivery progress and raise Risks' & Issues proactively and take actions to mitigate them
- Own the end to end Delivery plan along with SM & PO
- Establish relationships with key business/T&I constituencies and serve as an advocate for deliverables across multiple departments; liaison between business and other technical areas to for delivering effective business outcomes
- Responsible for superior stakeholder management and distil clear requirements for technology deliverables
- Manage change request effectively and efficiently during the project delivery with all the agreed controls
- Responsible to define, oversee and govern strategic tooling required for DPTP
- Act as a representative to the key business stakeholders in day to day matters
Vendor Management
- Discussion with vendor team on architecture, deployment, capacity decisions
- Review Service Requests with Vendor as part of Service Review Calls
- Document SLA, ticket priority, support portals, contact points, email, phone numbers which can be used for service request, issues, new enhancements, additional licensing etc.

SRE
- Initiate and comply to the SRE NFR's checklist
- Build Observability (cockpit view) to ease SRE's manual monitoring workload
- Adopt SRE by Design approach. Work with both Solution Architecture team and Cloud Enablement & DevOps team to define & enable automation - reduced toil for SRE
- Work with business to agree & define SLA
- Build CI/CD pipeline deployment working with Cloud Enablement & DevOps squad for automated production releases
- Enable Infra & Application Capacity reviews to help plan uplifts for stability
- License consumption tracking to ensure no breaches and plan ahead​​​​​​​

Our Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years’ experience in delivery role related to Data layer covering ingestion or data products layers.
- Experience in working with GRC domain related tech deliveries.
- Have a proven track record of scoping and driving delivery of projects and achieving results independently, on time and to budget.
- Ability to work in project teams to help formulate the implications of a specific solution across the process, e.g. costs, risk, potential for re-use of capability developed, etc.
- Demonstrated excellent people management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders outside their direct control.
