Research Fellow (postdoc) positions in the Department of Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS).

The primary objective of this position is to foster a profound design principle towards novel, efficient and robust electrochemical reactors for the efficient conversion of CO2/CO into liquid fuels. The key is to prevent the electrolyte flooding while maintaining the CO2 reduction efficiency.

The research fellow is required to help in guiding young students, visiting scholars, and assisting the establishment of larger research applications and facilitating initiatives with respect to sharing and developing infrastructure for electrocatalysis research within NUS.

Job Requirements

• Design of Electrical & Instrumentation panels based on water and wastewater treatment process requirements (focus on RO & MBR applications basis)

Requirements:

• Degree in electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, control and instrumentation or related fields
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects a plus
• 5 years and above experience.
• Experience in the industries standard, NORSOK, NEK, PSA, IEC, BS & etc. and hazardous areas classification.
• Willing to travel overseas
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• General computer knowledge is essential (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook).

Responsibilities:

• Provide business analysis and process redesign expertise in one or more functional areas (HR, Finance, Transport, Warehouse, Sales etc.) within the enterprise specifically in the analysis and redesign, of SAP and Non-SAP functions and processes.
• Work with business users to identify business requirements and the changes. Assists in the design, coding/configuring and testing of technical solutions of KTC core in-house applications and adheres to coding standards defined by IT.
• Customize SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.
• Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
• Contribute to corporate decision making by providing accurate, timely and relevant documentation, information and reports appropriate to maintaining awareness of plans and directions of business application systems.
• Liaising with software suppliers on their products and the requirements of business units

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in developing, implementing and reviewing business application improvements.
• Must have at least two full lifecycle SAP R/3 implementation experience (Project preparation till go-live).
• Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of SAP Implementation experience.

Design & Details of Civil Structural Engineering Works

So-Ordination with clients' Representatives, Project Managers, Consultant Team and architech from inception to completion of projects.

Attend meetings during course of construction of projects

Responsible for timely submission of reports and completion of projects for tender/submission with target dates.

Responsible for on-site technical/engineering /administrative matters.

To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities.

Supervise all civil, structural and geotechnical building works both permanent and temporary.

To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work.

To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implejment corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures.

To cooridnate with contractor,AC,QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc. for the works.

To review, evaluate and assess all fromwork structure, formwork support systems of RC structures and submit evaluation report endorsed by a PE.

To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters.

To supervise the installation of instrumentation.

To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations.

to review Contractor's design and supervise all works associated to underground works below 6m.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering

At least 4 years' of experience, of which 3 years' experience in substructure & superstructure works or supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.

Possess a valid RTO or RE by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore.

Possess BCSS and d/or confined space certificate.

Should be willing to work 56hours/weeks
