We are looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering

As an Assistant Director of Engineering, we rely on you to :

• Assist the Director of Engineering in overseeing maintenance and repair of all buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment
• Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve profitability of hotel
• Ensure that the equipment in the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently at all times
• Ensure the efficient and economic operations of the Engineering Department
• Support the Director of Engineering in managing the budget and expenditure on maintenance and projects
• Maintain standards and ensure facilities are compliant with local regulations

Make an Impact by

• Fully accountable for the quality, on-time & customer satisfaction of delivery application/business requirement assigned.
• Ensure delivery in accordance with SingTel/Optus IT’s strategic standards with essential quality in place via proper deliverables, review & acceptance testing.
• Drive Singtel design principles and strategy
• Work closely with different technical groups and SME’s to fulfil e2e solution objective
• Work with vendors (local and offshore), negotiating solution costs and ensure quality over their deliverables with proper acceptance, review & processes
• Ensure solutions meets all requirements including business functional requirements, IT operations requirements, audit and control requirements, etc.
• Act as a technical product SME on MicroServices and Security with Business and InfoSec
• Understand architectural standards, guidelines, policies and best practice for technology, application and data within the domain
• Able to present MicroServices solution and Security solution to our vendor partners and influence Executive Management (Director and VP level).
• Responsible for leadership development in support of the business. A high level of focus is placed upon working together with various domain architects, solution designers and subject matter experts on providing outstanding Customer Experience as well as building trust and working relationships across the entire SingTel Group IT organisation.
• Responsible for the management of MicroServices platform architects and developers with Security by Design as key principle.

Skills for Success

• The role requires extensive (15+ years) senior level experience in evaluating and managing technical, business and commercial issues and risks and the associated complexity.
• At least 10 years of Architecture skillset with proven delivery of MicroServices Architecture.
• Ability to lead the development and production support of CS microservices capability and architect innovative solutions.
• Strong ability to orchestrate outsourced delivery while working with technology partners to execute the delivery of these solutions.
• Strong knowledge on payment management and payment industry best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guide the team to work collaboratively with the vendors to deliver high quality solution, on schedule, on budget and meet all requirements.
• Strong technical knowledge to resolve all application related issues with the vendors (eg disagreement in scope, effectiveness of vendor approach, completeness of review etc).
• Strong experience and expertise in Customer Relation Management (CRM) and/or Ordering (order capture, integration, channel support, orchestration), and/or Billing (Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, Payment, Settlement), and/or Fulfilment (Service Management, Resource Inventory, Activation, Orchestration).
• Certified TMForum member (preferred).
• Technical knowledge on Amdocs CES suite (preferred).

• Providing engineering and technical assistance to Sales team.
• Collaborate with the Factory on technical issues.
• Prepare quotations and manage sales orders.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by superiors.

We are looking for a talented and mature Sr. Manager to join our DPS Forward and VTC SG Team in Singapore!

As a Sr. Engineering Manager in the engineering team (Developers & Functional Testers), you will be reporting to the Engineering Sr Director of DPS Forward and VTC SG Team. Your focus will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of a team roughly of size 7 to start with, who will report directly to you. The team would comprise of engineers ranging from fresh college graduates to senior experienced professionals with close to 4-6 or even more years of relevant experience.

The engineers design, build and enhance solutions meant for our customers in an agile, fast-paced environment. You will be working with colleagues across the company, who will help support and challenge you every day. Designing solutions, writing code, unit testing code, developing test cases, automating test cases and frequent check-ins for continuous integration is part of the DNA of this engineering team. You will see your team’s code going to production in just a few weeks and used by strategic accounts worldwide. We need a technically strong, compassionate leader to manage this team and guide them to the next level of success. Our team, as well as our group works under the principles of a common engineering model with both development and testing expertise. You are expected to have hands-on experience and sufficient knowledge to guide the engineers and unblock them as needed on an on-going basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Actively oversee developer activities for feature development and bug fixing and ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality, secure code.
• Review high and low level design of new systems as well as enhancements / defect fixing that the team undertakes and provide input / proper guidance as needed.
• Ability to guide engineers to design systems in addition to guidance available from architecture team in terms of technical direction of solution to be implemented.
• Review test strategy and test cases meant for functionally testing features end-to-end, to ensure optimum quality of solutions.
• Be able to review and recommend as needed any open-source / commercial tools that the team is considering for an engineering solution.
• Stay on top of QA testing being carried out for functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, bug tracking etc. and provide input as needed to improve quality metrics.
• Working closely with peer people leaders within the team to support the team’s overall charter in a holistic way and be open to matrix management model across all team members (not just direct reports) if needed to support any project.
• Becoming the bridge / core contact point for Product, Architect, Dev & QA along with all other potential stakeholders in the pipeline for all past, on-going, and upcoming projects / features is a major responsibility for this role.
• Building relationships across different Visa teams and actively working with all stakeholders to create win-win scenarios for all concerned to collectively make progress towards Visa’s common business goal will be another major responsibility for this role.
