Education

Centre for Urban Solutions is a research centre in innovative solutions and technologies for urban centres and built environment. The Coastal Protection and Flood Management Research Programme (CFRP) aims to advance knowledge in coastal and flood resilience and spur the growth of a vibrant research and development ecosystem for coastal and flood resilience in Singapore.

The (CFRP) research framework consists of four vertical programmes in which applied research is conducted to generate new knowledge and develop novel, effective, smart solutions for coastal protection and flood management. Job Summary:

The Process Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all processes within the facility comply with safety regulations and standards. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with hazardous processes to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.    Perform regular audits and reviews of safety management systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications in process safety (e.g., CCPS Process Safety Professional Certification, NEBOSH Process Safety Management) are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in process safety engineering within the oil and gas industry, ideally with FPSO, refinery, or petrochemical exposure.
• Proven track record of implementing process safety programs and conducting risk assessments.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of process safety management frameworks and standards (e.g., OSHA PSM, API, IEC 61508/61511).
• Proficiency in process hazard analysis tools such as PHAST, PHA-Pro, or BowTie XP.
• Familiarity with safety design concepts, such as flare systems, relief valves, and blowdown systems.
• Understanding of fire and gas detection systems, ESD, and SIL verification.

Soft Skills:

Preferred:

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out land and engineering surveys required for the construction projects, site boundaries or land titles.

• Survey, establish demarcations and guide for construction to proceed.

• Check and compute the pre-computation prior to any setting out for field surveyors.

• Verify accuracy of survey data, measurement, and calculations.

• Ensure correctness of build-up according to construction plans and drawing.

• To coordinate with engineering team to prepare engineering drawings and sketches.

• Design drawings including layouts, elevations and details.

• Source potential tenderers/subcontractors and send out invitation for RFQs

• Coordinate queries and clarifications between tenderers and construction team during RFQ stage

• Assist QS manager and contracts manager with quantity surveying matters relevant to Sub-Contract, Works Order and Purchase Order.

Job Requirements:
