• Develop and implement new algorithms for efficient processing of hybrid RGB & event vision streams to extract semantically relevant sensory data for visual grounding tasks.
• Develop and implement optimizations to DNN inferencing pipelines, including the integration of Spiking Neural Network (SNN) models, to reduce latency of visual grounding AI models without adversely affecting accuracy.
• Conduct experimental studies (including generation of training data) to quantify the resulting system performance and generate appropriate analytical artifacts (e.g., graphs, reports) to document such performance

The Senior Systems Test Engineer, R&D is responsible for designing, building, and testing complex or large-scale, systems, ensuring that the components of the system are integrated and function. The incumbent determines the overall structure of the system, organizes the interaction between components, and evaluates the influence of the environment.

This position is part of the SCIEX Research and Development organization and will be located in Singapore. We empower our customers to solve the most impactful analytical challenges in quantitation and characterization through ground-breaking innovation and outstanding reliability and support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform, lead/or participate in feasibility study, technical design reviews and FMEA in projects where necessary and ensure the mitigations are in place for potential risks. Identify gaps in design proposals, technical capabilities / techniques, and supports the development of strategies to overcome them through DFM & DFS practices.
• Work with research scientists and system engineers to create / execute test plan for breadboard / prototype. Thereafter create and executing specific product verification procedures that would show the suitability and demonstrate quality of the hardware and system elements that are an integral part of a given product.
• Work with research scientists, service engineers, application specialists, external vendors and managers to characterize and troubleshoot product issues. Suggest and verify fixes and corrective and preventive actions. Report verification progress, issues, risks, and requirements compliance status in a timely manner.
• Ensure that SCIEX Systems Engineering Processes are adhered to as per internal documents.
• Provide technical support and investigation to field escalation and drive design improvements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• M.Sc. / Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in New Product Development environment working with complex integrated systems
• Good knowledge with precision injection and fluidic control, Injections Electrokinetic and / or Electrospray ionization will be an advantage.
• DFSS knowledge and experience is preferred.
• Experience with Mass Spec, HPLC, capillary electrophoresis systems and / or EchoMS. is preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• The position requires traveling to company locations and customer sites at US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and China. The successful candidate should be prepared to travel up to 20% of the time.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Technologies such as electrophoresis sodium dodecyl sulfate (CE-SDS), ribonucleic acid (RNA) analysis and / or glycan characterization analysis.
• Capillary isoelectric focusing (cIEF) and imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (icIEF).

• Conduct rooms maintenance checks according to the checklist and other public area checks.
• Working Days: Monday to Thursday, from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Maximum work hours/week is 34 hours.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Operations:

• Manage office operations, vendor coordination, and procurement processes.
• Handle vendor management systems such as Ariba and GeBIZ, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for improved operational efficiency.

HR Operations:

• Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, and compliance with Singapore labor laws.
• Create and manage employee-related documentation, including employment contracts, performance appraisals, and termination letters, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Foster a positive work environment by leading and mentoring the HR and administrative teams.

Finance & Compliance:

• Prepare and manage income tax and GST documentation in compliance with Singapore’s regulatory framework.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory documents such as CPF contributions, IRAS filings, and MOM-related requirements.
• Provide support in financial audits and maintain accurate records for compliance.

Vendor Management:

• Manage vendor relationships through platforms like Ariba and GeBIZ.
• Ensure timely procurement, payment processing, and compliance with procurement policies.

Requirements

• Education: Master’s Degree in Management or a related discipline.
• Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in the construction sector in Singapore.
• Knowledge:Strong understanding of Singapore company laws, employment laws, and financial regulations.
  Experience in vendor management systems like Ariba and GeBIZ.
  Familiarity with income tax and GST documentation in Singapore.
  
• Skills:Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
