Key Responsibilities

• To lead the tooling team in problem-solving, identifying issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Analyze and improve stamping processes for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
• Investigate technical issues and analyze defects.
• Provide technical support to Sales and ensure tooling feasibility for customers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and cut down on waste.
• Manage all documentation to comply with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO13485 standards.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment while complying with industry standards.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to prolong tool life and reduce downtime.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods.
• Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain detailed records of all tooling modifications and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Production, NPI, Quality Control, and Operations teams to optimize tooling effectiveness.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

Line Maintenance is an operational critical section in Engineering Department that delivers a safe, reliable and cost-effective line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific Airways as well as our third party customers in the global network.

The Engineering Manager is accountable for the Engineering budget, operational and commercial performance at allocated station(s) and ensure we deliver our customers with a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.

Responsible for:

• Manage the day to day engineering operation
• Ensure the maintenance carried out on Cathay Pacific Group and third party aircrafts meet the Company / Customer / Authority’s requirements and standards
• Review and implement local strategies to achieve effective, optimum planning and utilisation of station resources including people, equipment, facilities and aircraft spares
• Manage the availability, serviceability and cleanliness of station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities
• Manage and oversee third party supplier performance (technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling etc.) as the Operational Duty Holder
• Supervise and certify aircraft maintenance
• Ensure compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations / guidelines
• Ensure meeting of station productivity, costs, revenue and operating budget targets
• Lead, support and encourage own team to achieve success
• Develop employees with high potential and identify learning opportunities to ensure appropriate training and development and execute succession plans

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance Licence (HKCAD or equivalent) with appropriate aircraft type endorsement
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance industry in a certifying engineer or equivalent
• Experience of managing team and deliver high performance
• Solid operational and technical knowledge
• Ability on creating and maintaining a robust safety culture
• Ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong commercial and business acumen

♦ Close supervision, Management and execution of construction works at site, including monitoring work progress and quality
