The Role

The Chinese Language teacher will be accountable to the Head of Department (Chinese) in the following areas:

• Upholding the positive ethos and core values of the school.
• Assist the Head of Department in planning programmes for the school.
• Assist the Head of Department in developing and managing the Chinese Language curriculum.
• Develop and deliver pupil-centered learning activities.
• Plan curriculum, lesson plans and age-appropriate teaching materials for classes.
• Using assessment information to plan progression for the differing needs of learners in class.
• Demonstrate a high level of relevant curriculum knowledge and deliver lessons effectively.
• Using appropriate assessment tools for formative and summative assessments.

• Communicating with parents regularly on learners’ progress and issues related to learning, where necessary.
• Liaising with the SENCo to support students with Specific Learning Difficulties.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

• An evident passion for teaching and learning
