• Refine classroom management strategies, and strategies to observe and document children’s learning
• Engage children meaningfully through the customisation of curriculum and use of appropriate pedagogy
• Implement differentiated teaching and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of children
• Inculcate the core values of Early Childhood Education through classroom activities and programmes
• Design quality learning environments
• Enhance trusting, respectful relationships with children through classroom curriculum and programmes
• Guide colleagues to engage in continuous learning and reflective practice

Requirements

• Possess relevant Early Childhood Education Certification
• Native/Fluent in Japanese
• Able to plan and conduct lessons
• Effective communication and Teamwork
• Open-mindedness
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent.

Responsibilities :

• Teaching Japanese as a foreign language to the local community with a demographic that consists mainly of Singaporean working adults.
• Able to deliver lessons using direct method (Japanese language) in order to create an immersive classroom environment where the teacher and students can use the Japanese language to communicate naturally.
• Promoting cultural exchange and cross-cultural understanding, and to introduce Japanese customs and traditions.
• Enable students to achieve practical communication skills, as well as to equip them with the language skills that can be applied in a professional working environment.
• Participation in lesson planning, as well as other tasks required of a school environment.
• Any other ad-hoc duties

Requirements :

• Possess one of the following qualifications (a, b, c):
• a. Major or sub-major in Japanese Language Teaching in university;
• b. Completed a Japanese Teacher Training Course at a study institution;
• c. Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test.
• Good team player with good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Proficient in Japanese to teach Japanese language

Job Description

• Display strong classroom delivery skills according to centre suggested methodology
• Conduct group tuition classes in Maths and Science for primary and secondary students
• Effectively utilise teaching materials to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment
• Mark and grade students’ assignments with value-added feedback
• Perform required classroom administration responsibilities
• Foster good relationships with students’ parents through regular written and/or verbal feedback
• Work together with the customer service team to provide all stakeholders with a positive customer experience
• Participate in curriculum development (full-time)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Up-to-date with latest AEIS syllabus, MOE syllabus
• 1-2 years of teaching experience
