About the role

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Designer with sustainable design experience and specialist knowledge in building energy optimisation to consult on projects.

You will be responsible for delivering environmental and sustainability advice on projects for both internal and external clients. This will involve consulting on environmental design, sustainability benchmarking/implementation, daylight & shading design, sustainable systems, materials and waste, with emphasis on building energy optimisation. This consultancy will be demonstrated through sound analytics including building physics. Projects will range from masterplanning to detailed design of specific buildings across all scales and locations of the globe. Work will often be coordinated with an approach to the mechanical and electrical servicing concept, and where the project is for an internal client you will support design engineers to achieve this.

You will be responsible for leading and maintaining a range of projects, leading and maintaining environmental design inputs on a range of projects for internal clients and/or providing specialist knowledge to other projects/teams. Using industry benchmarks and internal standards, you will ensure the timely delivery of considered and accurate project information. Where projects are not being delivered to internal clients you but also provide a point of contact between Atelier Ten and our clients/collaborators. You will also be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the internal efforts of junior staff across Atelier Ten, providing appropriate frameworks and tools, agreeing appropriate standards and co-ordinating delivery against these standards.

• 5+ years’ professional experience in an engineering or sustainability consulting firm
• Proven track record of leading and executing dynamic thermal modelling and energy modelling analysis
• Experience in daylight modelling, computational fluid dynamic (CFD), parametric modelling and programming
• Proficiency in IES VE, Radiance and Microsoft Excel

Job Description:

• Monitor and verify that the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is adhered to at all times and taking action if the specifications are not followed.
• Monitor and verify that environmental impacts are kept to a minimum during the planning and design and construction phases of the project.

• Programming background with high-level languages such as Visual C# WPF, C++ and Python.
• Experience in developing vision system with Halcon and Opteon camera.

• Good experience on automation controls, motors & sensors like PLC, CTC, Beckoff PC and controllers, Servo & Stepper motors.
• Familiarity with wiring/cabling size/terminations and load/temperature requirements.
• Familiarity with industrial machinery design.
• Skilled in the utilization of statistical analysis.
• Required to travel regionally (average 20% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient trading architectures capable of high-frequency trading and handling a large volume of transactions.
• Ensure the architecture supports a range of trading activities, including order matching, margin trading, and derivatives.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies for building a high-performance trading platform, including databases, messaging systems, and caching mechanisms.
• Develop strategies to minimize latency, enhance order execution, and implement risk management tools and protocols to mitigate system failures.
• Incorporate robust security measures within the trading architecture to protect against cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate closely with the product management team to ensure the trading system's architecture meets business objectives and customer requirements.
• Integrate features for audit trails, reporting, and compliance checks into the trading system.

Requirements

• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in working with large-scale and distributed systems, specifically with expertise in Java.
• Proven track record in leading the architectural design and development of large-scale, high-performance trading systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SpringMVC, MyBatis, Maven, Git, and Spring Boot.
• Expertise in middleware and distributed systems, with hands-on experience in Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka, Zookeeper, etc.
• Proficient in architecting and optimizing high-traffic, distributed applications.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to lead complex technical discussions, and a proactive approach to decision-making.
