Role Overview: As a Welfare Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance for the holistic development of the residents at Darul Ihsan Orphanage. Working closely with the Home Operations team, you will ensure adherence to Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality care and ensure the safety of the children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and guidance in the residents' holistic development
• Work alongside the Home Operations team to ensure Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to in ensuring quality care and maintaining safety of the children during care placement
• Incorporate the principles of Standards of Care for Children and Young Persons in the daily management and supervision of the girls.
• Collaborate with the Home Operations team to maintain and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and programs, acting as a positive role model by providing proper guidance and supervision.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare, safety, personal development, and well-being of the female residents in the Home.
• Work with other Welfare Officers to establish structure, boundaries, and routines within the Home and support the residents in their day-to-day activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma or Higher/Nitec holder with experience minimally
• Relevant certificates and experience in handling children in institution or home for children would be an advantage
• Able to perform 12 hours shift work, including overnight shifts
• Location of workplace would be at Darul Ihsan Girls' Orphanage (23 Wan Tho Avenue) or Darul Ihsan Boys Orphanage (5 Mattar Road)

Workplace safety and Health Officer (WSHO)

- Ensure compliance of all statutory legislation and requirements at all levels

- Establish and promote safety awareness throughout the Company

- Establish WSH training matrix and programs for employees

- Assist in scheduling of HSE meetings such as committee, mass tool box etc

- Preparation and implementation of Safety Program

- Develop, implement and review safe work procedures and Risk Assessment at project requirements

- Ensure all work practices comply with company safety policy and WSH act

- Ability to identify problems and provide solutions

- Able to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards safe work culture

- Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection

- Prepare and submit weekly safety report as required by management and clients

- Participate and involve in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 implementation and audit

- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager

- Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and refer them to the proper authorities.

Environmental Control Officer (ECO)

- Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme to the occupier of the construction site at least three weeks before work commences on the worksite on deadline for the occupier to submit the Site Environmental Control Programme to the Director-General of Public Health;

- Inspect the construction site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard;

- Point out and discuss environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/ dust/ smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. with the occupier of the construction site and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities;

- Attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the occupier of the construction site accordingly;

- Report and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to the occupier of the construction site once every monthly

- Assist the authorities to investigate outbreaks of infectious, vector borne or food-borne diseases on the construction site;

- Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards in the construction site.

- The Environmental Control Officer (ECO) is responsible for introducing Environmental Awareness to all Workers / Staff at Site.

- The role of an ECO is to advise the occupier of the construction site on what needs to be done.

- The ECO shall look out for conditions/ situations in construction site which causes environmental health problems or are likely to cause environmental health problems. He should report these conditions/ situations to the occupier of the construction site together with recommendations on remedial measures to be taken to prevent recurrence. The main areas where the ECO should pay attention to are:Disease-bearing insects and rodents;

▪ Proper disposal of construction waste/ marine clay;

▪ Noise, air and water pollution;

▪ Earth littering;

▪ Siltation of drains;

▪ Food hygiene in canteens;·

▪ Proper maintenance of septic tank(s)/ holding tank(s), chemical/ portable toilet(s) and other sanitary facilities; and Any other environmental health matters, such as wash bays, silt traps etc.

Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO)

- Specific responsibilities and duties of the Earth Control Measures Officer shall emphasize on the following main areas of concern:Implementation of Earth Control Measure (ECM) Plan according to the QECP’s design

- Work closely with and assist the Qualified Erosion Control Professional (QECP) and other stakeholders on all matters related to the earth control measures for the project site

- Devise the effective operation of earth control measures for the project site
Develop & implement a maintenance and inspection programme for the project’s earth control measures

- Update the QECP on any irregularities related to the project’s earth control measures which may require the QECP to enhance and/or re-design the ECM Plan Any other matters related to earth control

Regional Finance Officer, Accounts Payable

Job Summary

• Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all of vendors’ invoices on indirect purchases.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all inventory and logistics purchase invoices.
• Responsible for valuation and reconciliation of inventory.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Verification and posting of vendor invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ensure all taxes related to vendor invoices, such as GST and withholding tax are correctly applied during posting.
• Perform reconciliation of vendor’s statement of account to AP ledger.

Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV)

• Verification and posting of vendor invoices for inventory and logistics related expenses, to ensure:

1. All inventory cost and cost of goods sold transactional posting are recorded correctly per inventory value received into warehouse and drop shipment respectively.
2. Accurate and timely records of all logistic-related expense transactions and ensure proper cut- off at month end.
3. GST regulations are complied with.
4. Agreement of Intercompany balances at month-end.

Issuance of Debit / Credit Notes

• Responsible for the issuance of AP debit notes on defective items returned to affiliated companies on a timely basis.
• Ensure debit entries via the issuance of debit notes to affiliated companies are recorded accurately.

Reconciliation of Intercompany AP balances and confirmation of Corporate Netting

• Prepare monthly inter-company AP confirmation on a timely basis, sending and informing respective personnel in charge on discrepancy, if any.
• Prepare email confirmation to affiliated companies on the netting schedule and amount owing to Singapore Head Office for direct remittance to Corporate at the designated date as informed by Corporate.
• Prepare Netting schedule for Corporate review and approval within the first week of themonth.

Inventory & NLAG (Physical count and inventory devaluation provision)

• Co-ordinate the bi-annual inventory count, including drafting of the count procedures and printing of inventory listing prior to the count, reconciliation of inventory, between warehouse WMS report and SAP inventory balance.
• Ensure inventory count discrepancy has been followed up and report count result to management.
• Compute provision for inventory obsolescence according to inventory policy.

Verification of Internal Transfer Requisition (ITR) transactions

• Responsible for reviewing and verifying ITR transactions, to ensure documentation and process of all ITR transactions comply with Company policies, procedures, Company Financial Accounting Standard, FRS and JSOX.

Admin, Ad-hoc projects

• Support process improvement to enhance administrative and operation.
• Participate and support any ad-hoc projects.
